Last SSR Color Built

What color combination do you think the last SSR built will be? The last one will be kept by GM and stored at the GM Heritage Center and to be used for special events etc.

Share your thoughts on what "should be" the last color for the last produced SSR.

Even though they are coming in two tone now, the one that got alot of people interested in the SSR was the slingshot. It's also the color that was advertised,(even though very limited), that brought people to the show room. Just my two pennies worth.

HINT: The colors that I posted are the ONLY ones that have a chance at being the correct color or color combos!

For a one time only special color, I think it would be awesome to see that same bronze color they have on the HHR and the new vettes, but brighter.

As a historical document it should not be a special color. All though Black is beautiful; they should go with the Yellow as it was the advertising Icon.

Mike sorry but any other combination of colors not on the poll will definitely not be the final color selection for the last SSR produced.

Actually the last two SSRs will be produced exactly the same - color(s) with ALL the options offered on the 06. The reason being is that the early SSRs didn't have all the newer options that are now available on the 2006 MY. The theory is to have the first SSR with fewer options available then vs. the last one with all the options that are available now.

Hint: The 6-speed was chosen over the auto because of that very reason.

The second to last one built is slated to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. I believe it will be for charity once again.

Sounds like a two tone if you follow this logic. Pacific Blue & Silver will be my vote.

Chris I was thinking the same thing....but I'm going to take a little bit more time before I answer this one. I do very strongly think it will be a special color.

Question Final Color . . . .

I didn't see a choice for "shiny bondo", so I voted for aqua blur . . . that color just gets my blood flowing.

(I can say that, I have a "shiny bondo" SSR)

Auctioning off the final SSR for charity seems a little PRish. Thought they needed all the money they could get to stave off bankruptcy. Charity starts at home ! !

With the way auctions and pricing have been, they will be lucky to get close to sticker price. Maybe they should just donate it to a charity and save embarassment.

I like your new GEICO commercial ! ! ! ! !

I think the last one built will be a stock production color, maybe it could have some special badging but it will most likely represent what has been produced ? ?

Mike I am startled by your comments...

First of all if they do auction it off they will certainly get some higher dollars for the last saleable SSR unit. The other issue is that there are a lot of legal headaches with just donating something like a vehicle to a charity... it is much easier and much less of a headache to sell or auction it off and then donate that money to a charity.

I know I'm way out in left field.....But would like it to be Black....( now I mean black , black........deep black)...... over Pearl White... With Black wheels ......and delicate Red strip, nose to tail at the break line...........Just my choice.......May make mine that way......
