I discovered that the hard way as well, last summer voting in the girls photo contest. This time I was prepared
At the start of voting this time Buffy did say look at all of the pictures - then vote with all your choices.

"Want a hint? There are a LOT of good pictures! Look at all of them first, WRITE DOWN their numbers and then return to this page to vote for your 12 favorites.",

but I guess I didn't spell it out in detail. Now we all know.

Hey j.r.,

After I reread this post, it sounds like i was "preaching" to you, but I was serious about now we all know that you have to vote all at the same time. Multiple votes are new to all of us and even I was't aware of the "one shot" at voting.

Hey, I'm not getting very many votes, so I think I've got a scheme that might help my cause.
With the theme being SSR Men are Bad to the Bone, I'm was initially surprised at some of the entries, and then even more surprised when those same entries started getting twenty and thirty votes. I agree that a picture is worth a 1,000 words, and think that in posting the Brad Pitt picture Buffy did a great job of setting the "bad bar" pretty high. But if things keep going the way they are, our calendar is going to score pretty low on the "bad" meter.
So my recommendation is that Buffy step in as the administrator of the contest and eliminate all entries that:

1. Have men that are smiling (sneers are OK)
2. Have men in shorts ("bad" men don't wear shorts)
3. Have children in them instead of men (kids are cute, not "Brad Pitt Bad")
4. or, For whatever reason, don't look bad enough (black hats automatically make one bad, so those shots should stay)

If this doesn't work to get me in the top 12, I'll come up with something else.

OK DINGBAT! I want to thank Buffy for everything He has done and I think He is great for doing these things. I did NOT expect Buffy to answer my question about viewing thumbnails so I guess I posted it in the wrong place!! I was actually hoping one of the computer savy members would PM me with some info as to how to make my computer read these as thumbnails. So I guess I will go to a computer web site and see if I can find a solution. I still think the poll and posting is great fun and I am enjoying it!!! By the way I stll have a rotary phone from the old days!!! grimmye

This is for fun. If my picture does not get any votes or it gets used for a dart board that's fine. However if my pic should get the least amount of votes I might add Cross Hairs to it. Could be worth something at that point.
