At some point heading south for the Donut Derelicts run last Saturday, I past the 10,000 mile mark. I was hoping to make a note of just where it took place at but I guess I wasn’t paying attention.
You're getting ready to retire. After you do, put more miles on the R. That way we can move you into another category.

Thanks Leeb, yep Calgary Alberta Canada , if you guys have any thoughts on fixing a cracked line on the driver side hydraulic cylinder, without replacing the whole thing would be great. I flatly refuse to pay the dealership price.
Thanks guys.
don't know much about these trucks, but I'm learning ... FAST !!

Hi. I'm a new member as of tonight. I relate to your parking dilemna. I also like to park "Far from the Madding Crowd". For one you'd think she is safer and for two I like people to see her and appreciate her, from a bit of a distance, but it boggles my mind why someone will come up and park right beside you when there are forty other open spaces. Oh well. "Such are the vaguaries of life".
"R" in shop under warranty. Outside mirror, drivers side, came unlaminated, can see the safty plastic between the glass, plus it changed the glass to a darker color.
Roof cycle switches are being replaced in windsheild post. They are a matched set and have to both be replaced at the same time. Cost $300 each plus labor.
I had to cycle the roof button "close" before I could open and then I would have to cycle "open" before I could close. I worked fine, just a slight nussence.
As long as they were replacing the mirror, I thought they might as well do the roof. They had the switches in stock!!
Get this, warranty would not cover the glass but it would cover the "Power Mirror" assembly. So, they are suppose to paint a new mirror assembly to match the "R" and install.
Glad I got the extended warranty. I had dash cluster, mirror, roof switches replaced, I am now ahead of my warranty cost of $1600. bucks.
Remember the Roof is no longer in production, American Sunroof Corp filed bankruptcy over this roof they designed for GM.

Think I am having the same kind of problem...I see 2 images now one regualar and one purple?
En route to the post office this morning, I noticed when I reached 22422.
I now have 22431.
So, as of today, I have put 4944 miles on the R in the 20 months I have owned it. Which is something like an average of 2966 miles a year. At this point, anyway. If I win the Lottery next Tuesday then that rate is going to change!

Yeah, if I hit the lottery, I'd hire someone else to go to the post office for me, also!
