That must be a real SSR since the shipping is $74.57.

I was thinking the same thing, Shiftz!

What a RIP-OFF or possibly HAND DELIVERY . . . shipping TWO front tires from Arizona to Pennsylvania a few months ago was less than 60 bucks.

There was a 1/64 scale on eBay last week and the guy wanted $20.00 shipping! I wrote him and he said $5.00 of it was for gas and his time going to the post office!

They haven't made them for years. I think the last I heard about them in stores was back in 2004. Prices vary, $150 to over $300 seem to be the range according to someone tracking them:

I agree it seems high, but if I calculate the cost from the sellers address to mine using the UPS online calculator it works out the advertised price within a few dollars. If you're on the West coast it's going to cost quite a few pennies. I am probably off by a pound or two from memory but you have to remember these things are large.

Yup, it's high priced shipping but Rhode Island to Pennsylvania is another 500 miles or so. Probably more trucks passing through PA than RI too.

Oh well, hope it finds a good home ........

UPS shipping is by volume if my memory serves me well. So, that large of a vehicle could be costly even if it's light. Probably charging for the box too.

Not defending--just trying to explain.

Just a note... I got one not to long ago and the shipping cost was about $40 from Connecticut to PA. UPS and Fed-X use dimensional weight and the size of the box really runs it up. it's ridiculous. But is what it is.

Good catch O6!

Yellow ones, burgandy/silver ones, and red ones don't seem to show up as often.

There was a New Bright yellow sold on eBay last month, 5/24/10. Not mint, but a nice one!

Received it today. For the most part the seller was accurate, has a few more defects than was described. Nothing real bad just a few more scratches than described. I am going to detail it and if not satisfied, I just might repaint it. Don't really care about keeping it original if it is not going to look good. I am planning on using it when I show my R, so it has to look as good as the real one.

That's what I'm thinking about doing too--so a box isn't really that important to me.
