Chevy Mall Item - Limited to 250

Has anybody ordered and rec'd this blanket? It sounds like a good quality item, and I was wondering if anybody can let me know what they think of theirs?

I think it looks great - I just ordered one last night...

From the Chevy Mall web:

Yellow SSR 48" x 54" Afghan

Wow! That is what we said when we first saw this SSR Afghan Blanket.

An image of the yellow SSR from the GM Media Archives is actually woven into this custom 100% cotton jacquard blanket using a state of the art weaving technology.

Please allow two-three weeks for your custom blanket to be woven and shipped direct to you from the mill in NC. Made in USA.

Limited Edition of 250.

I just emailed chevymall.com

to ask them about the possiblity of getting it in other colors. I'll let y'all know when I know.
I hope they're better at responding than the online store of Indy500, they never answer.

Chevymall

They are very good at responding, Chevymall.com that is. I've wrote them a couple of times! As a matter of fact I wrote them a couple of weeks ago concerning SSR products since production has ended. They said they have some new SSR items coming out yet even thou the vehicle production has ended!

I do have to tip my hat to Chevy Mall - prices may be a bit high, but they have always communicated well. They have also been generous when providing items to me for my Kingsburg - Generals Highway Run!

No - I don't work there - but I do communicate with them - and they have several times bounced some ideas off me. There was an old thread where I asked for input from you all, and I let them know the responces - they also keep an eye out here to get a feel for what we want - I guess that explains the extra capacity cooler!!!

Afghan blanket

Does anyone know if you can still get these made? I see they are no longer on the Chevy Mall site but are still available (I think) through the gmphoto section mentioned in one of the earlier posts. Would like to get hold of one. Of course, they don't ship outside of USA!!!!

Fiona,
If you can get a blanket, I will be happy to have my best bud and 747 Captain from my old airline pack your blanket and deliver it to Sydney for you. He CAN'T be carrying car parts, but something which is considered a "gift or personal item" will not ring any alarm either with security or Customs.
Let me know. It will probably cost you a beer or three.
Best,
Jamie

There are a BUNCH of places that will make custom "Photo Throws" for you - with YOUR picture!!!

Check Prices as they vary....just two examples:

http://www.treasureknit.com/tapestry/tapestry.aspx is $150 (26x36)

http://www.personalthrows.com/product/PT90001001 is $100 (54x70)

I can help with re-shipping if needed...

Who was it that had a picture of their blue SSR on a blanket at Laughlin? Is that the same as what you're talking about here?

The nice thing about that one is it's personalized with you and your SSR. All you have to do is them a photo. I have a picture of it on my home computer. I think it was around the $195.00 mark....Very cool but don't remember who did it.

quilt with SSR

I saw it on the Laughlin Run also. AZredrocket was who had the quilt and was showing it to everyone. He was going to get us information on the cost. But I have not heard anything back from him. He said maybe around $200.

Also the man from TSS Photography at the Banquet said he could do them. He gave out a card.
