gmp web site
Can someone please try to get on the gmpdiecast.com site.
I have been trying, but my server won't let me. I was going to conact them to see if they would consider an SSR run of their quality diecasts, but can't get on their site. I was hoping to get this going myself, but DIAL-UP is a real pain in the A$$ ...THANK YOU

appears their server is down at this time.
They are not the only ones, appears several sites are down this weekend, probably has to do with year change and everyone being off work (not around to fix it)...everything should be back to normal starting tomorrow.

Thanx. I'm never sure where the problem lies when dealing with dial up. I recently applied online for a jod application, and I am pretty sure it's just floating in cyber space somewhere, as I have not recieved confirmation from the company.

yeh, yeh. I would have responded quicker, but my finger got stuck in the operator's hole.
I do have the option of getting Comcast Triple play, but I see that company as a monopolizing corporation and refuse to give in. It just isn't right.
I have DishNetwork tv and don't need or want cable tv service.
I can sometimes use high speed at work, but the OH GREAT BOSS frowns upon that. You are right though, I could use a change.

Hi Curt, Did you try to use Google? Thats what I used. I just went back and tried again and it worked again. Try it again using Google, when the page opens up with a list of sites open the seventh one down on the list. Which will be GMP diecast cars. Open that one and bingo. Try it let me know. Mike

All I get is an immediate Server Error and now I'm curious.

That is just a retailer of GMP die cast. I was trying contact GMP directly, but their server is aparently not working.
The list he is refering to is the list that comes up when you GOOGLE the GMP site. That only gets you to retailers. I fellpray to that this morning, sending an email to a retailer in CA. I can't wait to see their response. It should be fun. They'll probably think I'm an idiot for asking them to manufacture the diecast for me. Oh well, I'll have to try later this week.
GMP die casts are very high quality, and if they do make an SSR, it will be very expensive. Maybe $200 or more. They are licensed by GM.

Oh, I'm sorry about that.

Success ! At least with sending GMP an e-mail inquiry. I'll see where it goes.
If they are willing to produce a high quality die cast SSR, WOULD THERE BE ANY INTEREST ?
Also, they will probably need at least one or two sample trucks, anyone willing to have some pics taken. I'm thinking a Signature and maybe an FPR two tone. Well, that getting ahead of myself right now. I'll try to start a voter's servey on the interest of purchasing one first.

About 3-4 years ago Copcarcollector produced a limited edition 1:43 scale SSR for us collector Fanatics! It was modeled after one of the 2005 pace SSR's and the price was $40.00 each. Very good quilty. Came with its own clear case too.
Maybe someone that has one could post a picture?
