Saw a set of floor mats on ebay by Lloyds. They appear to have holes in the read to hook onto floor mounting brackets like I had on my 03 Vette. I don't have those same brackets on my 05 .
Does anyone know if Lloyds make the mats without the holes?

They send the screws as well so they cannot be lamed for the mat moving up under, or over the throttle or brake and causing a malfunction. No one can say they should not have made the mats IF they could not be anchored. Such is today's society.
Even the mat for the bed comes with them.

So are you supposed to run the screw down through the carpet? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. My current mats have rubber tits on the bottom side. That doesn't work very well. The mat still inches its way forward.
Oh, I don't doubt that. Guess I never really paid attention in my Vette. I thought those hooks were an integral part of the carpet. We even have something similar in our '10 CTS. Guess GM thought they weren't needed in the "R?

Rather then using scews, why not use heavy duty Velcro?

Now, that sounds like a LOGICAL approach
So now where does one find floor mats without holes? The ones I have are OK for every day use, but wouldn't be good if I ever tried to show--not that I have anything close to a show car.

Reason: needed to add
I have an original set of mats for my SSR but I needed a set for my Silverado SS, so I ordered a set with the SS logo from Loyds. They came with the holes and brackets. They actually look fine, the bracket is plastic and screws into the carpet, I hardly notice them and the mat stays in place. Just my $.02

Just cover the holes with knock out plugs.
I'm sure you'll think of something.
