I have listed #430 pewter display on E-Bay .... Here's the link "PEWTER DISPLAY"
I do not need two of them so I have desided to sell #430 I have it listed for what I paid for it. I had offered this disply to a "Fanatic Forum member" for the same price I paid for it ($500.00) at the Laughlin run .... I have never heard from him on this so I took it that he was not interested in it. I made a attempt to offer it to this member here and I thought it was only fitting that the offer was made and have had no replies sence the offering at Laughlin. I tried.... I know they are pricey but what can you do? You have too know that you are not going to get something for nothing let alone when there were only 500 of them made. I just wanted to get my $$$ back out of it. It's now listed.

That member was me, and I said yes, but never heard back from you.
I'm sure it's just a miscommunication thing.....
One more thing, I tried to PM you several times, but because of the quotations in your member name, and the glitch in the Forum that directs member home pages to others when the member's name has punctuation, I could not.
Moderators, I have made a few requests to get this glitch fixed.....is it ever going to be fixed?

But nothing close to the PM'S that arrive at my mail box
The way I have always known it to be Doug..... Is that it is the buyer's responsibility to contact the seller of a said item that's for sale and get the ball rolling on the finalization on the sale.... Not the seller's obligation to chase the buyer around .... As far as the communication thing goes.... I called you about three months ago asking you if you wanted to trade the display for a hood.... You told me "no, I only have one hood and I'm keeping it".... I then said "that's cool"..... You did not say a word to me about buying the display out right at that time. The lack of communication is on your part, plain and simple!
The ball's in your court now, the total cost of the display is $525.65 shipped to you.... Be swift here on this..... Once there's a bid on it..... I will NOT close the auction, as I'm willing to do for you now.

Thanks anyway Dave, it was and is a generous offer.
I'm out of pocket more than I want to be with Hellvis, so now is not the time for me.

Mine was a gift!
Of all my SSR collectables, my SSR Pewter means the most to me! Mainly because it was sent to me by GM for appreciation in bringing my 03 R to the SSR coming out party at the Woodward Ave Dream Cruise back in 2004. What a weekend to remember!
My good SSR friends Marc NY and Doug, (Ratical SSR) were there also!

I think the "hunt and spend any $$$$" for collectibles has already peaked. I have been watching the items that used to get major $$$$$$ on ebay and they are not getting anywhere near what they used to. Maybe its the economy or could it be loss of interest????

I know my interest has lost some of its excitment on collecting.

I have to disagree with you on your take that collectibles have hit their "peak" in today's market on E-Bay. I've been a buyer/seller now for 9 + years now. With a positive feedback of 1,480, for those that are not in the know about that number of 1,480.... It takes TWO positive feed backs too get you ONE positive feed back under your seller's/buyer's name. Then you have the one's that don't leave any feedback at all.... Go figure?
The collectible value of SSR memorabilia may have hit a low in your eye's and you may be right? But.... In the world of vintage toys it has not hit a low..... I buy/sell/tade in two sections of vintage toys that show NO DEPRESSION at all.... 1/24th vintage slot car$ (1960-70's) and TONKA TRUCK$ from (1948 - 61) like many have done, as myself. I sell/buy/trade off-line from the connections that I have made through out my years of buying/selling on E-Bay. It's funny though Jeff.... From what I've seen from you in the past.... YOU are the first to post a thread here on the Forum about ANY RARE SSR item that is posted on E-Bay.
As my E-Bay sale states: "I'm in it for $500.00" Many that buy from me know.... I'm a straigth up guy.... No B.S. and I tell/post/sell it just like it is..... Just like I do here on the SSR FANATIC FORUM. I also sell my item(s) on E-Bay at a starting price that I want for that said item(s) If I get ONE BID on that said item(s) that's up for sale.... I'm cool with that..... As far as "MAJOR MONEY" for #430 ..... I COULD CARE LESS! One has to remmeber here....... I have TWO of these displays... #430 & #458 and as a COLLECTOR/SELLER of pristine vintage toys now of 25 years.... That busted corner on #430 just doesn't fit in with the rest of my dust collectors.
**** THE $ 500.00 OFFER WAS MADE TO DOUG ALLEN.... HE'S NOT INTERESTED FOR OBVIOUS REASONS..... THE AUCTION ON E-BAY STANDS AS POSTED.... UNLESS I HEAR DIFFERENT FROM DOUG

Most excellent "JAM" Tony! I've ALWAYS been a "ROCKER" ..... From the "Days On The Green" to "Winter Land" .... I was there..... I have another "JAM" that fit's right in with your "HI-JACK" on my thread my friend....
"RATT" has the very distinctive sound of "U.F.O." some 40 years later.... I was there my friend....... Sitting over the balcony when they took down "Winter Land"...... Some say the "BEST CONCERT" ever!..... Ted Nugent....RUSH and U.F.O...... It's only fitting that U.F.O. plays one more time.... Listen to the words my friends......
You could have at least said...... Sorry for "HI-JACKING" your thread "BLACKIE".... But then again..... I have to consider the sources here.... That think they are above it all, and can do what/post what they want at any given time.
Now that I stold my thread back..... And before ANY OF YOU think...... It's no different from the thread..... "A BLACK SSR FOR ME".... PLEASE...... Don't show me that some of you are that ignorant too not understand the difference between the two? Why do you think I post all of my endevours about a SSR on "A BLACK SSR FOR ME" and don't venture out of that thread? It's obvious ..... It's the "CLICK" here. (Yep.... That's how I spell it) if you don't agree with the "CLICK" and follow their shirt tales, you are a "OUT CAST" and treated as such. Again ....It only shows by the posts
Some of you have to take a step back and look at what you have posted on the forum and the context of your post(s) to remember what you have posted? I've read alot of "BS" from alot of member's here.... From one week to the next and it's always the same. Hmmmm...... Maybe that's why there are so many of you that "QUOTE" the post's that are before your's and the post before that post?
Quote this if you want too.....THIS IS A THREAD THAT DEAL'S WITH THE SALE OF PEWTER DISPLAY # 430 AND NOTHING ELSE (READ THE RULES)
I was just looking around and saw this thread. Once I saw his post that ratt song came to my mind and so did the zeppelin one but I googled the ratt one first. Glad we are thinking along the same lines.
Just trying to make some people laugh a little on this Sunday afternoon before going back to work. Good luck with your sale blackie and sorry for jacking your tread up.

Or like some of you have done on my thread here..... With total disregard to the rules of "HI-JACKING" a thread..... You have hit.....

Ya know there, Blackie, you're very selective in who you chastize for hijacking your thread. Golly, shucks, I feel like such an outcast.
