Plastic window repair!

I have a question for some of the serious die cast collectors amoung us! Is there any way to repair/replace the plastic window on the boxes the SSR die casts come in? To me if the box is missing or damaged the collector car losses its value!

I would find a sale on a less collectible model, in the same scale size, and carefully remove the plastic off that one

You could use Clear Mylar and just replace the window, using a white waterbased glue that dries clear.

But the point is to have the same cheap plastic that the original had so it remains original. I like the first idea. It is almost worth watching for the boxes just to collect the plastic for repair work.
