It's GM licensed. Is it worth saving "as is" or better to have some good modeler put it together? If I was still a kid, I'd put it together. Today, I'd probably give up, and be satisfied with sniffing the glue.

I picked one up at the R.E.Olds Museum in Lansing this summer. If memory serves it was $17... Now that it is partially painted on my workbench, I'm sure it is worth SIGNIFICANTLY LESS

i need to look for one now and see what i can find
all i have is a silver metal die cast one my son and daughter gave me in 04 that i now own the color
how cool is that. it was a birthday gift
I was given one a year ago and it's still in it's original packaging and I doubt I'll ever assemble it. I'm not keeping it for appreciation value, I just can't bring myself to brutalize it by building yet. But, that testor glue in the lead tube...now, that does bring back memories...maybe that's why I managed to mangle every model I built.
As a kid I would use very little glue to build. Later I would cut them apart and rebuild them. Sometimes swapping parts from car to car. here are my all time fav's.
The SSR kit build one and save one. At best you might double your money if you save the kit unopen. Whats 10$ for storage 20 years .... nothing.

I remember being a kid in a large family that was met with a severe economic crisis. I was home alone and a person from some charity organization left a box full of toys for Christmas for my brothers and sisters. In that box were several model toy cars partially put together. This is what happened to many of those models...not finished, given away, or dropped into the garbage bucket.
