what was the date on the article? Was this offer made before the SSRs went on sale ? The only date in the article references membership in 2001.

Google it!
Dwight, just did a Google search. The article say's Rick Wagoner signed 6 SSR diecasts back in 2001! The auction for the 6 SSR diecasts brought in a total of $1,400.00 for charity.
That equals $233.33 for each die cast!

I was just wondering if many people knew what an SSR was before the auction. I am guessing not.

I saw what I could of the SSR at the 2000 Detroit Auto Show! I assume it was the SSR Concept Vehicle. I really could not get near it to tell what it was other than a Chevy SSR!

Seriously, I wonder if these were the PEWTER DISPLAYS.
If I could get Rick Wagoner to sign some of my SSR collectables, even today, I would.
Yes! I too would like to know what Rick signed. I had my chance to have Rick W. sign my SSR book back on that rainy day on Wooward Ave in 2004! But I blew it because I did not want to get my SSR book wet!
