My SSR: #1740 - Yellow ~ Built 11-18-2003 Took Delivery 12/05/2003
Special Delivery SSR 10" Clo
First off - I don't know this guy (he is from Fresno) - really I don't!
I haven't see one of these clocks in person - so I don't know the quality - but it does look pretty nice! I sent him mail thru the website, so perhaps he'll show up in Kingsburg???
I found this when trying to locate the Orange SSR link:
That Is A Very Nice Truck. Not My Color. But Very Nice Indeed. I Would Like To See What The Back Looks Like. Because It Looks Like The Tail Lamps Changed.
Hi Keith,
Thanks for the invite to your gathering next weekend. I will try to make the Friday BBQ but plan to be at the cruise Friday evening and strolling the show Saturday.
A shameless plug and moderators, you can pull this if you like. - I am producing some items exclusively for Betty at The 50's Place in Kingsburgh. I have other products available with my stock pictures or custom work featuring your vehicle at jburtphotos.com
rsstoy - The delivery only exists in my head and on paper. It was an exercise in design on my part.
If it were real:
The top would be chopped about 4 inches and the windshield laid back. The A-posts would be visually narrowed by painting the front portion black to match the windshield glass.
The front and rear fenders are peaked and extended back to accentuate the lines and give it a 60's custom feel. Emblems, marker lights, grill lights, and door handles have been removed.
The whole thing would sit on airbags and on the ground.
If I were building it, I think I would work the late model Cad taillight units in like the pickups but, a pair of 59 Cad lenses tunneled vertically into each side might look nice.

Since you'll be in Kingsburg - pop out to the Historic Park between 4 and 6pm - grab some grub...
Betty is on the Car Show Comittee too! Did you do photos at the car show last year or the year before?

Very cool design, Thanks!

I found this rendering in Rod & Custom Mag. 1955 Dream Truck styled SSR.
I always wondered what it would look like using my silver base instead of the white and change the purple scallops to this blue/green flame & pinstripe design by Dennis Mathewson of Oahu.
My SSR: U.V. with "flame" rally stripes, loaded incl. spare tire, CORSA Sport, MPD boards, Wester's tune
