My 05 has quite a bit of body roll and seems to loose on the road. I am looking to lower it using Eibech springs. Are there any other mods that need to be considered other then the springs to help it ride/handle better?

you might consider new sway bars, they have made a major difference in the cornering in mine...many on here have used either Hotchkis or Addco...went with the Hotchkis myself and I think there is an issue with the 6 speed only being able to use Hotchkis...but don't quote me as I have an auto
Ditto with the Eibachs and sway bars. When I was at the HB Tech Session, hdflstf took me for a spin in his 6-speed (he has his lowered with sway bars), and it corners like a vette! Will definitely be my next mods!
Springs and sway bars for sure. Anothe option for the front is coil overs. Do a search on the forum. There is a guy who did them for the Trailblazer (same as SSR).
No issues for the 6 speed since I had Hotchkis do a slight re-design of the rear bar.
I've got an '03 auto and have the Hotchkis. This is definitely the way to go. You won't fully realize it until you have to make a sudden move in traffic and then it's like, "man, this thing handles like an indy car!". Adding the Hotchkis not only improved daily driving, but makes the truck safer in an emergency situation. It will take a sudden turn like its on rails. I love it.....
Also, when it's time for tires ,consider something stickier. The stock tires are quiet and comfortable but have poor grip as compared to performance tires. Also ,you have a 400 hp vehicle and only H rated tires if stock. When you make suspension improvements more is asked from the tires. If you have less body roll you need more grip.

I'll second that. The GYs are ok all around but if you want to push the SSR around a summer performance tire will really up the cornering limits.
Mine is shod with Firehawk Wide Ovals [which come in a run flat now] and seem to hook up pretty well and corner great. Still, the body roll could improve some. Let me know if you go the Hotchkis route and where you got it.
Enjoy the N. FL sunshine!

No sir, after making 1st contact I passed the info onto Lonnie & Lauren. They live in the area and BMR needed an SSR for fitment. They have both 6 speed and auto, so they were kind enough to make contact and arrangements.

Sway bars
I have done a search for the sway bars and read all the posts but it still looks like there is an unanswered question about fitting them on the 6 speed.
It looks like Hotchkis modified their rear sway bar to accomodate the larger rear end in the 6 speed so the bars are designed to fit both the 6 speed and the automatic.
Hotchkis bars are both hollow.
Hotchkis bars are powder coated black.
Will the Addco bars fit the 6 speed?
Are both the Addco bars solid or just the rear bar?
What are the Addco bars coated with?
Mom got me the rear sway bar from shox for my birthday, Lord love her.
Tore into it this morning like a 6 yr. old at Christmas. Went directly to the garage and began. All I can say is thank goodness for this forum because without it, no way could I have done the install. hdflstf's pictures saved it for me and Mike in AZ' advice for not re-using the locknuts and his original discussions with Addco. Thanks to you both for your detailed posts!
Addco does not send any install instructions with the thing and the only "hardware" they include are very poorly bored out OEM rubber bushings. After figuring out their problem and ing them until I could make the extra 1/8" bar fit, I got her all installed and the cornering is much flatter in the rear - these girls have big rumps! Don't know if I can wait until Christmas for the front one now!
An excellent mod, although frustrating install process.
Hopefully Hotchkis is easier.

Glad I was some help.. Hotchkis does come with instructions as well as special made bushings. They are lighter and therefore somewhat easier to install.
i have read the posts on the sway bars and wanted to purchase a set for my 2005 automatic.
are the addco ones the better product?
i do not want to lower the truck just put on the sway bars.
will i really feel a difference in daily driving - the truck seems to shutter when you go over bumps.
also i read where the bushings/parts and directions that came with them were not good. will i have to deal with that or have they got the right stuff and good directions now?
thanks for any help.
I finally put the new Eibech springs on last week. Wow what a difference
The sway bars will be next just to continue the improvements.
Does anyone know if a camber adjustment kit is made for the SSR? The shop where i had the springs done said they could not find one anywhere and I need some adjustment now that it is lower.

I went with the Hotchkis and it had very clear directions and new polyurathane bushings just had to buy the new locknuts .I am very pleased with mine not only does my R coner well but they took that bouncy feel out that the Eibach gave her.

Take your R to the dealer to get it alighned ,I first took mine to a shop and they didn't know how to do it. My dealer did both my Rs and I cut a coil off the Eibach to make them even lower, they were able to get both Rs in spec.
