My SSR: 05, Silver Auto, Line-X Bed, X-Member and Plate
OK, cornering is improved but is the ride quality harsher? Do you think the new bars alter the straight line ride, over bumps...., road joints/breaks, rough road vs the stock bars??

There have been sold:
Have an extra set of (brand new in box) Ground Force springs for $144 + ship if another Fanatic needs to complete this project. Ground Force Part Number 9990: 1.5" lower in the rear and 1" in the front (which is standard for the popular kits if I'm not mistaken).

I have owned Porsches for several years and traded for my 05 SSR. I like the truck but the suspension is really lacking. I think I'm gonna try the springs and sway bars. Do the springs lower the truck much? I dont wanna change the look of the outside much.
This looks like a really old tread but the date says 2012.Iv'e got an 03 auto and have made many changes.
I used and love the Ground Force lowering springs 11/2" front and 2"rear.Hotchkiss anti sway bars are the way to go. They are hollow but much bigger and stronger especially the rear.As I read the responses, no one touched on the cross member issue.
These trucks come with a really weak 1" single tube cross member located just aft of the door opening under the frame.GM makes a much stronger 4 bolt box welded cross member made for the trailblazers but bolts right up to the SSR. Trailblazer and SSR use same chassis. The addition of this cross member greatly improves the cornering and reduces "Cowl Shake" when the top is down.It sells for about $60.00 at the dealer.
Hope this helps
