2005 Rough Rider

I just bought a 2005 SSR, very low miles / perfect condition, love it, but it rides rougher than expected.

Any ideas to soften the ride?

Aww, that's because all your muscles are tightened up with the Permigrin going on.

Try running 35 psi in all your tires, see if that helps.

Your tires probably have flat spots from sitting. Lower the air pressure and drive it a while. If that doesn't work, replace the tires, they're six or seven years old if they're the original tires.

. . . New Sneakers will make a significant improvement in both the ride and the handling as well as the SAFETY.

In the meantime, check the pressure and try dropping it down a few notches.

Do you know if the rear was lowered maybe someone didn't trim the bump stops.

drop your pressure

I live in really 'rough road' county and run @30 psi all around all the time with no heat issues (I monitor them with an infrared gun) but our temperatures here seldom exceed 90 degrees and our limits are about 70 mph or so without attracting unwanted conversations with the local constabulary
