Somebody is going to get a great deal on a great vehicle, Hate to think what it would cost if you were playing for the labor on a build like this

Yes, I strongly agree.

Plus, I know what it probably cost for Joe to do all this work to this vehicle, and anyone buying it is getting an absolute bargain compared to what they would pay a shop to do it to a stock vehicle.

Joe's workmanship ethic is the best.

Until you've worked side by side with Joe, you will never know what a true professional, perfectionest, and what a good guy he truely is. I value his friendship more than his expertise, and let me tell you he has more information to share than I'll ever be able to extract from him.

Joe, I look forward to your trip down next Friday, and the night at the Drags. Have a safe drive, and we'll see you soon buddy.

Thanks for all the compliments, We could have never finished it without everyone invloved. Hank and his son were there the whole time, it would have not been done in time without them. Dont let Hank fool you he was there coaching me the whole time.

Joe: I hope you get all you had hoped for out of it. I KNOW how costly these builds are. If people really knew all the true costs, they would realize what a bargain this is. Unfdortunately, too many don't realize that until they try first to price doing it themselves. THOSE informed buyers know a deal when they see one, and grab it.

Hopefully, there are some informed buyers bidding on your truck. BEST of luck, Joe.

I'd have loved to have you building my next engine for SLURP, but it's going to be a VERY simplistic build comapred to THIS one! It is amazing what even a "low end" engine in the LS series (like an LM7) can achieve in terms of power and durability.

Looks like I am keeping it for the long haul. I was getting real reluctant to selling it as the auction went on anyway.

Thumbs up

Joe, I am sorry, and surprised, that it did not sell this time out.

I KNOW that if potential buyers really understood the true costs and time that went into building this vehicle, they would have realized that they are getting the triumphant outcome of a bold development program, that somebody else (you) took all the risks on, and that they now get to buy at a super steep discount.

I attribute the inadequate buyer response to the fact that on e-bay, people have become so suspicious of scams and overly optimistic descriptions that they cannot recognize a true and honest "deal" when they see it. When I think of how the performance capabilities of what you built compare to $55,000 vehicles at car dealerships, I cannot fanthom how someone would buy one of those factory vehicles for the same money that they could have bought yours for, INSTEAD of yours.

On this board, people KNOW you Joe, and know that you would never offer something that is in any way flawed, as your have worked very hard to build a reputation as a straight shooter as well as a skilled builder and fabricator. Many also know that you have worked as a restorer on costly classic vehicles and on street rods. I think you need to just let people know from time to time that this special Trailblazer is available to the right buyer. Someone will be taken with it, and will say "I want it".

I do hope in the meantime that the valuable experience you gained building it, and the reobustness of your work and your engine paltform that you have proven in the most eloquent way, will benefit you in your ongoing Left Coast business. I DO know that all of us on this forum benefit from your work.

Guys and gals, there are very individuals who can do this kind of stuff successfuly and in a class manner, and who are willing to SHARE every detail with YOU. Joe deserves our applause and gratitude for his unquenchable curiosity and spirit. I'd like to offer my applause, appreciation, and salute, Joe.

Wow, I don't know what to say. Thanks so much!!!

I am really not too upset that it didnt sell. I have a 91 octane tune in it now and was out driving around and doing some logging. This vehicle is so much fun to drive. Everytime I drive it the hair on the back of my neck stands up. I think I will keep the 91 octane tune in it and enjoy it.
