Smile 2nd Life for Superchips Tuner

I heard that if you own a Superchips Tuner you can reuse it on another vehcile if you put back the stock program on the original vehicle. I have a Trailblazer SS with the same LS2 engine and the Superchips part number is the same for the TBSS and the 05 SSR. I put back the stock program on the TBSS without any problems. The tuner read and save the stock program on the SSR and installed the Performance program without any issues or error codes. Car started (a good sign) and drove it around the block. Kinda hard to tell from such a short run if there was a major increase in performance. I was late for Mothers day dinner and couldn't take it out for a long drive. That will have to wait until tomorrow.

I will be selling the TBSS and would have preferred not to give it to the new owner so reusiing it saved me almost $400.

I bought a used one not long ago and like it, have you gotten the software update that lets you monitor and data log several engine parameters? I haven't gotten too aggressive with the settings but there was improvement, I know that I will edge out my friend in his Dodge Ram Daytona just a little more in the 1/4 now.

I have same tuner

For my 06 and it really woke up the power too but for two things, i have 456 gears and the speedo reads 10 mph over what iam going so the mileage is racking up more, and the tracktion control is out of wack. But if your gears are stock its a great product.

The Superchips tuner has adjustment areas for rear end changes and tire sizes. As for the traction control problem, that might be another issue.

I drove the car to work today and the performance is not a dramatic as when it was on the TBSS. I think that's because my TBSS was an automatic and the changes to the trans really made a differance in that car. The SSR is more responsive and the power comes on quicker and smoother. Overall I happy considering it did not cost me anything. Without the tune I still like the SSR because of the 6 speed. The Superchips tune is gravy on to of an aready awsome ride. I've gotten more comments in the 3 weeks I've had the SSR than in the 18 months I've had the TBSS.
