Exclamation 4:56 HELP from Spain.

4:56 assistance from Spain.

Hello friends, I install on my ssr manual for 2006 Kit 4:56.

I need the 4:56 kit reference, quantity, density differential oil for the additive to be added and the model kit 4:56.

Summit racing, send the pieces to Spain, but I need help to find the references of the parts that I need to change.

I want to buy also the programmer, which is best for our SSR?

Thanks from Spain

peter.

GM9.5-456 is correct
Are you doing this yourself or is a shop doing it?

I used Royal Purple gear oil, a synthetic that has additive already in. I did not add anything else and mine are going fine.
Royal Purple Gear Oil

I put in Yukon Gears but their installation guide would work on any gears.

I am not the one to give good installation advice.
I did mine with my brothers assistance (or vise versa I should say) and they turned out great, but with much trial and error.
I honestly don't recall all we did and believe a certain amount of luck was involved with mine coming out so well.
You won't need the "spreader" they say is required because the old gears come out easily in the 9.5 6sp but you definitely need a bearing puller. We had to take mine apart 4-5 times before it was right, each time needing to adjust amount of shims.

As far as the programmer, I think you will have to send yours out to get it reprogrammed. I do not believe there is any program on the market, but maybe someone else can help you there.

2.6 litres. Basically to the edge of the fill plug.
The Royal Purple that had the additive was quite expensive compared to other products that were available for less money, but they did not have the additive already in. My interpretation is that additive is required for the 6sp manual with 9.5 gears but I did not add any extra over what was included in the Royal Purple. If you put gear oil in that does not have an additive included you will need to put some in.
