For those so inclined to upgrade to high performance tires, I just installed the Continental UHP's. They stack up very well in the performance tests with the Pirelli Scorpions, and the Michelin Diamaris but are significantly less expensive. I used 295/45/20 in the rear and 255/50/19 in front. My truck has been lowered 1+" and2" and the tires really fill the fenders perfectly with no rubbing issues. These tires are Y and W rated and were originally designed for heavy fast high performance SUV class vehicles like the Porshe Cayanne, and the Mercedes etc. The fronts are ratred at 2149# and ther rears at 2601, tread wear is 420. Ther rear also come in a 295/40.
I had the KDW-2 on before which was a great performance tire, but they got very noisy as they wore, and the only choice for the front was a 245/40 which looked a little bit weanie in my opinion.
Anyways, I just thought I would share this info as yet another choice for us. So far I reeally love them. Other than the fact that I am the sole owner of Continental Tires USA, I have no financial interest by making the above reccomendation.

I hear ya Blue Ox. But just be sure you keep one eye out for the blue lights. And to hijack my own post, I was wondering if I could arrange to see your spare tire set up in the near future. Then you could also get a chance to drive the S/C'd set up as promised some time in the past.

Oh, I heard that, alright. I got my 79-in-a-65 yellow paper recently, so after upgrading my V1, I am going slower. Although I doubt anyone would notice. I'd love to meet up with you for a drive. Was just up there for the West Coast Kustoms Cruisin' Nats and thought about you then, but was without my "Babe." Just PM me when you have the time. I definetly think the spare is worth it, too.
The UHP's also come in run flats in the front sizing. Considerably heavier and more expensive tho. Not for me. Also a 315/35/20 for those with 11" aftermarket wheels.
Blue, PM me your phone # PLS... I can' find it.
