My SSR: Silver on Black Final Prod 6 speed #23387
Not familiar with this product.
Dynatech SuperMaxx and Kooks are the only brands I've run into for the SSR.
Not sure if Dynatech is still available.
You might want to check with Joe (2005SSR6speed) for his recommendation.

My SSR: Custom Slingshot Yellow
I had them on my harley truck and they fit and performed great. Just installed them on the R and the quality has improved greatly in the last couple of years.

can you take some pics of the headers from above & below???.... I've been trying to figure out if they might fit in another (swap) application.
I'd love to see detailed pics of these mocked up on a engine & trans outside of a car too.... but I doubt anyone has pics like that.

I've had these on Hellvis for almost four years - never had any problems.

I've looked at the Stainless Works headers and decided they don't drop far enough back (they'd hit the crossmember in my application) and the tubes are too spread out... their 3rd generation F-body headers made for Hawks are really close but not right either.
I'd really like to see detailed pics and measurements of both the OBX and Kooks SSR headers on a mock-up engine & 4l60E outside of a car.... (but I doubt that's a possibility)
I've even thought about buying the OBX headers to try, mock up, photo, and sell them if they don't work... but the Kooks while more expensive are also more re-sale-able
I need them to drop behind the last exhaust port on both sides... fit between a frame @ 26" wide, and suspension mount that's 12" directly below the rear exhaust ports.... and then the collectors top side needs to be no higher than the transmission pan flange... a tough fit, I know

Did you install them? How hard was it? I have done classic's in the past but never a late model like the R...

My SSR: 2006 BLK 6 SPEED
Installed these on my 06 last week-end with a Comp Cam and tune. The headers were easy to install love them they look good too. After all the work took her out for a ride. Will be buying new rear tires next week if I keep lighting up the ones I have now....

Right side was a PITA. Had to lift the motor up to get them in. Drivers side was a piece of cake. Took minutes for that one.

Is there any special tools you used? Getting at the exhaust bolts were easy or was there something special you had to use or do get to them?

Easier if you pull the front wheels and inner wheel well liners. Some long swivl head extensions help too.
