To order one of these kits simply send $38 which includes shipping anywhere in the lower 48 states, via PayPal to greg@phoenixtrans.com and we will send one right out to you along with SSR specific installation instructions. Thanks,
Greg

Have you tried running with the traction control off and seeing if it makes a difference in what you are feeling? If you have a slide, then bump into second gear this servo kit will tighten up your shift quality.

The servo is not hard to install but that is coming from someone who has been working on transmissions for 25 years. That question may be better answered by some of the folks who have installed these in their driveway or garage. Personally, I think you need to get the car off the ground safely and make certain it is well supported. You will need good lighting and good close up eyesight ( I wear my drugstore 2.5 reading glasses) and some degree of hand/eye coordination and it would be of benefit to have a willing helper. We can supply the servo kit and some SSR specific instructions. Let me know if we can help.

I received the kit and read the instructions. I have not been in this detail of of mechanic's work in years and I'm a little skeered.

Can anyone recommend someone in the Houston area, that you trust, that can install this for me?

I think I'll try it. I have spent more time under cars than inside them. It's just been a while. I have all the stands and tools. It's eyesight and patience I have been a little short of lately.

Thanks guys for the support I'll contact you if I need the help.

When I ordered Greg's corvette servo, I asked him to throw in the 2800-3000 high stall torque convertor that they manufacture precisely at their shop. Then I called J&S Gears out in Huntington Beach, CA and ordered up a set of American Axle 4:10 ring and pinion gears. After having all this stuff professionally installed and a little massaging of the computers, my vehicle is dramatically more responsive. Amsoils air filter, Intake screen removal, Magnaflow's cat back, and Mike in AZ's cooling fix rounds out the package with performance of a 60's special HP car and reliability of todays computer controlled daily driver. Nice looking vehicle too!
