My SSR: 2006 FPR Ricochet Silver a.k.a. Rudy Roadster
I got mine installed today at Greg's shop. I've got to agree with everyone here, what a difference this makes. Since I only had my SSR a few weeks I was starting to think there might be something seriously wrong with the transmission, it seemed to slip too much on the 1st to 2nd shift. The servo cured that, it shifts just like it should have from the factory. I highly recommend this modification, you won't regret it.
Can anyone recommend a place to install the servo close to the Frisco, TX. area? I'm having a hard time finding someone that can do it at a reasonable price.

Thanks for the plug but I'm not registered as a vendor, just an SSR junkie like the rest. I hope nobody takes issue with the link, if so a moderator can take it down.

You can't self promote.....but you can have 100 other members post your link for you .....well, that is, if you are as good as you are

When I had my servo installed it was by an old school tranny guy. He added an additional spring inside the existing spring. All I can say is when it goes into second, it goes into second! Even under moderate acceleration it gives you a boot in the pants.

The spring you refer to is under the steel cover plate and serves as the accumulator for third gear oil as the servo is released. An additional spring in this area will give a slightly firmer 2-3 shift and will also make downshifts more noticeable.

Thanks for the additional info Greg!
