Boost guage problem...

I ordered this boost guage thinking is was the one I needed, but reading the directions, it says to connect it to the fuel line. I don't want fuel pressure, I need boost pressure off the magnacharger. I also ordered the sending unit that it came with, Is this the wrong guage or what?

This is the guage...

I don't know the Norskog line specifcially, but looking at the images you included, I conclude:

1. You got the correct boost gauge

2. The correct SENDER is the one that is marked: S8424 Fuel & Boost Pressure Sending Unit Kit, 0-16 PSI

$49.95

The other sending unit is for fuel pressure only.

Check the part number.

Sounds like they gave you the direction sheet for the fuel pressure sender instead of for the boost sender. That MIGHT mean you also got the wrong sender despite the part number label on its box.

The fuel sender will NOT read vacuum. The boost sender WILL. You need the boost sender.

Call wherever you bought the items, or better, the manufacturer's customer service number, and see if my theory is correct.

My friend, who is doing the guages install for me, called today and the guy said The sender unit is used for both fuel pressure and boost. He is going to install them(got an air/fuel ratio and outside temp guage also) this weekend. Does anyone know the best place to tap into the magnacharger to get the boost pressure?
