Corsa Touring Cat Back Exhaust

I am looking for a place to get a good price on a Corsa cat back exhaust system. From some of the previous posts, I am thinking the touring edition.

If you decide to go with this system, let me know how it works. I am considering the same set up for my 06.

the touring is not as loud as the sport. I have the sport and LOVE it. I think the touring would be closer to the stock sound (w/o the drone).

How does it compare to the MagnaFlow Cat Back, Sandy?

turnheadz,

I think that is what I am looking for. A factory type sound with the increased air flow to allow the engine to breathe. The plan is to get an Amsoil Air Filter, a Formato tune (here on the east coast), and the lip on the throttle body shaved down. These things combined with a 4.10 gear change should about do it. At least for now.

I've never owned Magnaflow. As far as that backpresure pop pop pop sound I get that on down hill grades when I let my foot off the gas. The MF seems more likely to do it, easier. So perhaps the MF is louder. All I can say is there is NO DROAN with the Corsa. And the sound is music to my ears

I have the equipment to build my own cat back system for less than half of what a corsa or borla set-up would cost. What am I going to gain by dropping the big money on one of the name brand systems? I can build using flowmaster, magnaflow, or even corsa mufflers. What am I giving up by doing it myself?
Any advise would be appreciated.

Amarillo SSR,
Corsa said that they wouldn't sell me just the performance muffler separately, only the entire cat back system. Do you have a source for corsa mufflers only and what would the model number for a touring muffler to repalce the factory muffler.

I have had my touring model of Corsa installed and running for some 40k miles, almost since it was new. I love it!! it is almost a duplicate of stock sound on the hiway, no droning or anything .. until you get on it hard.. and what a wonderful sound at that point.. my ride in a 04, 5.3L and I would not go back to stock for anything.. corsa is the way to go.. PERIOD.. CRUISSr

She does have the sport. With that 6 spd and 4;56 gears it sounds awsome. Just cruising its hardly noticeable.

Corsa puts a lot of time and research into designing their exhaust for each vehicle which does add to the cost but you do get what you pay for. Remember they are guranteed for as long as you own the vehicle and I have had them on my Vette for more than 10 years and they still look like new.

I suggest you take Eric up on his offer and get a quote from him.

Howdy;
I've been using the Corsa "touring' exhaust since it was almost new. (04) and it is the Absolute Best!! They are straight thru and as quiet as factory OEM when your not 'on it'.. but when you put the peddle down it really comes to life and sounds great. No hollow sounds or drowning (spelling). It exceeded my expectation, and yes I would do it all over again..."RLCulster" Elko Nv.

I have a Corsa sport on my 04 since 04. Great sound, no problems, lifetime warranty. The dealer I worked for installed quite a few on Esclades and Yukons, great customer service if something went bad. Check with Anne, waysouth6speed about their customer service.

I have had a Corsa Sport on my 05 for 4 years. No issue's great sound and still looks like new. I sell and install there systems all the time (6 in the last 3 weeks on pickups and suv's) There customer service, and warranties are 2nd to none. And the most often heard comments from customers are love the sound and NO DROAN.
