Question cruise control/traction lite/ac

Hey - Happy 4th ya'll.

has this happened to anyone else, and if so what fixed it? I tried to use the cruise control... the traction light came on and the ac went out.. the dealer said it was a fuse, replaced it, and walawala.. however, i again tried to use the cruise control and the same thing happened again... sooooo they reprogrammed the pcm and now the ac whines when you accelerate.. on another note - they are going to finally replace the compressor next week.. not sure about all the other stuff... how about you?

I had a problem with my last Chevy, Silveraldo with the cruise control. I took it in twice to find out what the problem was. The first time was the fuse had blown, I replaced it and it blew out again before I could use the cruise control. Second time the repair man said its the module for the ABS. The cruise control is linked to it but had no problems with the brakes. They replaced it and was back on the road with cruise control. Never had a problem again with the cruise control.

This is my only advice: just go to a different mechanic and get a second opinion. I did and it worked out just fine.

thanx for the input... I've had some interesting noises and been told lots of things were normal that just can't be. this is the third dealer, and at least they are going to replace the compressor.. am hoping they'll follow through on the rest. I want to keep loving this baby, not regretting.. know what I mean?
