Custom Fuel System

Here is the fuel system I have been working on for my TrailBlazer SS. I have the following setup and will be installing it soon with some other work I am doing.

*12 inches of -6 hard line off the tank
*-6 Y block with fitting for fuel pressure gauge
*3 feet of -6 braided stainless to each fuel rail individually
*fuel rails with -6 rear feed

I need to flow a certain amount of fuel to support a certain amount of HP. I want to be able to support 1200-1500 FI HP. I don't want the restriction to be the fuel system. The stock system with MagnaVolt will support about 800 FI HP at the Crank before you start to see a pressure drop. This current change should push that out enough to crank the boost a little higher and help to support the Nitrous I will be trying.

I can not fill a 55 gallon drum with a single 3/8" line very fast but I can fill it twice as fast with (2) 3/8" lines.

I have also built several fuel systems for Street Rods with the aftermarket in-line pumps. I want the dependability and longevity that the Walbro 255HP pumps provide.

This is why I am seriously considering the system below, it will feed twice the amount of fuel to the engine and support even more power.

Returnless Dual System - Integrate a second fuel bucket that will kick on at a certain boost level with a switch. This would retain the returnless and use 2 pumps to feed the rails. The y-block would then become an x-block so the 2 pumps and 2 fuel rail lines would join at this point. This would almost double the volume output when both pumps are running.

I finished building the -6 stainless steel braided lines and then covered them in heat shrink to prevent scuffing.

Nice looking stuff Joe. I am running #6 and an aeromotive pump in the tank of my Challenger. My horsepower is half of what you will be making but you don't want to run out of fuel and go too lean!

55 Gallons is the size of your fuel tank right

Are you building it to run only on 109 octane, or will it be switchable (so to speak)?

I did a 91 octane tune at a lower boost level before. The higher the boost the more octane is needed. The system will be able to use any unleaded fuels.

I can afford the gas it the price of getting the air that's starting to get expensive.

Joe,
It's always nice to see what your developing and finding ways to spend more money on my truck. As we talked yesterday this is exactly what I pictured after your last description.
