Just had my ECM and TCM programmed by Westers Garage. Just installed it and so far the difference is GREAT!!! Can't wait to get a few miles on, I will keep you posted.
Has anyone been watching the Corvette forums regarding GMs position on custom tunes negating the factory power train warranty? Any comments as I would like to get a tune for my SSR?
My SSR: 05 6/6 Aqua Blurr BOD 2/2/05 Eric's Hood scoop, running boards, Lonnies 59 taillamps, MikeAZ exhaust

It depends on the type of tuner you get. Something like the Diablo will save your factory settings so you can reload it again before taking it into the shop. Leaving them none the wiser
I have an 05 and when I step on it, it's gone. What's the purpose of getting it tuned? Is it better for the engine, the transmission or the gas mileage? I really don't know and would like to. Thanks
My SSR: U.V. with "flame" rally stripes, loaded incl. spare tire, CORSA Sport, MPD boards, Wester's tune

I'm getting mine tuned in June and my warranty expires in June. Coincidence? I don't think so
A tune will get you more HP, but also better gas milage, different shift points.... did I say more HP?
My SSR: 05 6 sp. with 4.56 gears, Magnaflow cat back, Crane cam and Rockers, lowered, Intro wheels, K&N.
PCM for less is very good for custom tunes also. Along with significant power increases when you floor it, they clean up the fuel mapping so at part throttle you can also gain mpg.I have a six speed and I hated the throttle delay, so I had them remove that and the drivability is greatly improved. They eliminated the torque management also and the car responds quicker in any gear. Fan turnon points are also adjusted and again it's a noticable difference. So, there are many things you can alter if you choose. The other things I had adjusted were the speed limiter, the rev limiter, and the speedo recalibrated for my 4.56 gears. Couldn't be happier with the job Brian Herter did.
My SSR: 2005 No. 18711, born 12/08/04 and adopted 9/07/07

I just had Joe do the tune on my '05. It included most of the items mentioned below. WHAT A GREAT CHANGE FOR THE GOOD!!!!!!
It was fun before. But like the recent TV ad says 'when you turn on your car does it return the favor'? Yes, in spades.
I'm a newer member. Who is Joe? and how do I get a hold of him?
Thanks for the info. John
