If anyone needs moleskin, I have several 10 foot X 1 inch sections available for sale.
These 10 ft sections are more than enough to do BOTH weatherstriping strips on BOTH doors + have enough left over to line (cushion) the edges of your center console box lid.
What we/you do is split the 1" moleskin into 1/2" strips & they fit perfectly.
'Tator Tot' Alex & I installed this product on my 'R' last year when we had a Dicktator sound insulation install Tech Session.
As you can see, my windows have a custom tint.
Dicktator has also used it in some of the things that he does.
We are in Florida & the adhesive has held up GR8.
The 10" sections are $18.00 including shipping in the USA
You can Paypal me, send a Money order or if you are coming to the Pier show, pick it up here.
If interested, please PM me with your address & I can send you my Paypal user name

I don't think Catseye99 is selling the "Tint Protector" Moleskin.
Moleskin is just a generic name. He is probably selling the generic home stuff with the glue that melts.
The only people I know that actually sell moleskin manufactured for inside car doors is Tint Protector. So unless its made by them it's the cheap stuff...
I went through two sets of crap moleskin before I bought from them. Now it's been two years with no problems.
I wish more people knew it's not all the same stuff.

Cat, you know there is that cut in the pad where the roof is stored. Do you suppose that moleskin would make for a good repair?
Moleskin will not be a satisfactory fix for this problem
Dicktator came up with the best fix
He removes pad from the 'R' and cuts out the entire trianglular piece that has the 'crease' in it.
Xacto knife does the best job.
He then cuts out a triangular piece (3' x 4" I think) of 'dense closed cell packaging foam' (about 1-1.25 inches thick) & uses Velcro xtreme (home depot/Lowes) to attach the triangles to the mat.
Dick, myself and a number of others here in Florida have successfully used this 'fix'
Even the new triangles will wear over time & the advantage of using velcro is that they can easily be swapped out.
We have some photos from a tech session somewhere & I will post when I find them

PS: Don't know why this fellow, 2005ssrman, 'bashed' me on the moleskin.
Don't know who he is or why he would do that.
Didn't want to publically respond to his criticism of me, so sent a PM to him requesting that he retract his critical post & issue an apology for questioning my integrity.
Probably won't hear back from him although he has been a member since 2006, only has 10 posts.
I will wait & see!!
