These are some videos that were taken of Double-L racing his 2004 SSR with Forged Engine and MP122HH at 10 psi of boost. I am sure he will come in to give all the specifics as I dont want to steal his thunder!!

Thanks for the video. I can't get over how well you hook up and leave the line. No spin, all grin! Are M&H tires for the track only or are they street tires as well? I also noticed that you don't have a lot of body movement from the front to the rear... what have you done with the suspension?

The M&H tires are the most street friendly drag radials I have ever seen, I always run M/T but Joe told me about the M&H so I put a monster set on it, I have drove in the rain at over 70 mph with no problem at all, Only racing tire I have ever seen that I would even try that with but I have a lot of racing experience, They are holding up well to as I do burnout at well over 100 mph, As you can see in the 11.60 run the side wind got pretty strong, Without that I am sure it would have been in the 11.50's, We are still working on the tune, Joe has input on that as well, I run BMR Rear Control Arms, Lowers are Adjustable, Made the SSR ride better also, Have better springs all way around, It is just a fun hot rod to drive down the track and draws a lot of people when they see something that heavy run that fast, Take care
Sounds great too. I had a feeling that if anybody here was gonna put an SSR in the 11's it would be you. Great job!! Those M&H tires are indeed some soft, sticky rubber. I had a chance to check some out last weekend on a Z06 that was at the local hangout. I just happened to have my durometer with me and he let me measure 'em. A durometer measures the relative "hardness" of different types of rubber or urethane using a spring loaded probe. The scale goes from 0 (no resistance, soft) to 100 (no deflection, hard). To give you an idea, the RS/A's measure 80-85 (very hard) and BF Goodrich drag radials measure about 45 (very soft). My Goodyear Drag Slicks (I don't know what compound they are) measured 40. BUT the M&H tires measured about 37 or 38. They are so soft it was difficult to even get an accurate reading!! And that was cold.
So, what size tire and wheel combo are you using? And what backspacing? I think I need some of those.

Thanks it sounds good at the drag strip but to loud on the street, I have 50 Flowmaster on it, Some of the other drivers say my SSR sounds like a AA/FD when I do my burnout, The rear tires are 390/40R 17's,
They get a lot of looks at the strip,Also some jokes like will that SSR turn them big tires over, The wheels I got from Joe, On the front are the stock wheels and tires hope to be changed soon, Like I said they ride and handle like stock tires even in the rain you just don't have to worry that if you hit the gas hard at 40 or 50 the back end won't come around with you and I have a 1.62 60ft with them, Take care
Just curious, what tires were you using before the M&H's and what was your best 60' with those tires? I take it the wheels are the same 17's Joe is using on the TBSS? I think he posted the dimensions on 'em on another thread.

I was running the Goodrich KD's, I don't know what my best 60 ft was right off hand with them a high 1.8 something and that was if I was lucky, It was a battle to try and race with them, Not to safe either, Yes they are the same I think that Joe is using, The wheels look better in person, I wish I had them years ago,
Wow, I am blown away, that is a terrific accomplishment.
Thanks Greg and it is something not because It is my SSR but back in 1970-1973 for them that remember back then I run a 1970 parts breaking racing fuel drinking Camaro SS/EA built by a friend the late Mickey Thompson, It run 11.60-11.70's and when I think of a 4800 pound small block SSR running 11.60 on pump gas with just 10 pounds of boost with more in it you just drive 40 miles with the ac on and put on a helmet it say a lot for that super charger, You can't see it but a guy said when it took off it pulled the front wheels off the ground in that 11.60 run so in a way it blows me away to,
Double L....terrific effort on hooking this whole thing up to produce that ET. What is the cutoff ET your required to have a rollbar??
As long as you run with the top up, On a newer car you can get by up to 10.99 provided the stock firewall and floorboard is intact, 11.49 for the older cars and trucks

Awesome...
Hey Double-L,
Great video footage of your Slingshot. I'm amazed.... I'll bet it feels great to launch a 5.3 like that. What driveshaft are you running??? Inquiring minds wanna know.
On a separate subject.... How's my GN doing??? Last I heard, you were doing some valve train work and installing bigger injectors. Have you had it out in the last year???
Good to see you back in the saddle again. I hope your health is as strong as your slingshot.
