Dyno Computer Reprogram

Took my 2006 SSR 6 SPEED to Motor Sport Technologies in Houston to reprogram the computer programmer. First the 400 HP and 400 Torque as advertised by GM is for the motor sitting in a crate. After GM installs it in the car the actual HP is about 327 with 349 torques to the rear wheels and with a stall rev limit at 5500 RPM.
After Motor Sport (www.motorsporttech.com) reprogrammed the computer it gave me 354.5 HP and 366.1 Torque and disconnected the original stall rev limit from the factory. Anyone interested in the spec sheet on the Dyno Test send me your email address to jbarrow1@houston.rr.com and I will forward it to you. Somehow I cannot get the spec sheet to attach to this thread.

Anyway I was driving it later that night looking for a street race to see how much better it preformed. A Mustang pulled up to me a red light gunning his motor so when the light changed I took off and blew his doors off the line. He came up to the next light and said he was not ready. So we did it again. This time I got ahead of him off the line but we were dead even after 120 MPH. When we got to the next red light I asked him what he had done to his Mustang because it sounded really bad. He said he but in a 4:10 rear end, headers, "X" pipe, Corsa Exhaust, Air intake, etc,. He then asked what I did to the SSR. Before I could say anything my wife says it's STOCK. The look on his face - PRICELESS>

Your wife is the priceless one. You could not have given a better response..... I'll bet she said it with a straight face too.

She's cold, dude.

She's also a definite keeper.

Had her for 42 years - this is her truck and she will let you know it. However, she jumps my xss ever time I street light race. She drive it more like Miss Daisy 75% of the time but she will get on it when provoked.

Good find...MST

I've talked to several folks (builders, tuners)in town (FWB) who are familiar with MST. Apparently they are some of the most advanced technology wise in engine building, tuning etc. in the country.

Couldn't find them on the web as I was told they were known as MTI...no affiliation with the MTI JimG associated with in Atlanta. These guys are good!!!

P/P

Peace

Try www.motorsporttech.com - they are the best in the states . It's just how deep are your pockets. They just did a 2006 Vet the other day new from the dealer and put a 427 in it. 9.2 second quarter mile.
