Everyone that has recieved Joe's Tune and coming up soon for a smog certification put your mind at rest....

The Queen passed with flying colors today....

Now I just have to pay the @#%&*#@%*&$##$# fee....$369.00

It just makes me sick....

I keep reminding myself it's the great weather that keeps me in California..

What's the big deal, CrazyMan?

The Doophus had Joe's Tune over a year ago and passed the Emission Test with FLYING COLORS.

As for the $369 . . . Chump Change for a Wealthy Californian.

Yearly license fee....

It's broken down like this:
Registration Fee $56.00
License Fee $184.00
Weight Fee $80.00
County/District Fee $11.00
Special Plate Fee $38.00

Total $369.00

Oh and forgot to say it cost me $50.00 for the smog certification...God I love our weather in California....

Just wanted to put some minds at rest that have asked me if their truck will pass when smog check comes up...

Besides the Queen got her tune years before the Dooph...

Damn, CrazyMan . . . FIFTY BUCKS for an emission test that takes less than 5 minutes at best?

I thought $12.25 every two years was a bit much . . . THANKS for making me feel better.

Ya! and it was a friend that did the test, took $10.00 off. He hooked up the the stuff and I ran the truck on the dyno up to the speeds required. He also knows how anal I am, he didn't want to get in the Queen and have any chance to get her dirty...

I heard NJ stopped testing, just plug in to the OBD2, if it tells them everything OK, slap a sticker on it.
No OBD2? Fugetaboutit, go way boy, ya bother me.
They stopped checking brakes and lights too.

All kidding aside, I started this thread to put some minds at rest. Some people have received Joe's tune and haven't come up for smog check yet and are worried and some aren't sure if they want a tune being afraid they won't pass smog. Can't remember the exact date (C.R.S) but was one of the first to get Joe's tune years ago and this was the FIRST time the Queen needed to be smog checked.

Ripalifornia requires that you get your new vehicles smog checked when it's six years old and then every other year after or when ownership changes...

So for members still on the fence for a tune take the leap and unleash the power in your trucks....

Took mine to the dealer in March for emission test, was mostly afraid that something would go haywire and they would flash the computer and delete Joe's tune....................................but, that didn't happen

Also passed with flying colors. Forgot how much I paid to register...try to get it out of my mind as quickly as possible...but the 'Stang just cost me $469 without the weight fee
