I did and I don't regret it at all the sound is great, I choose to use the 2 chamber system instead of the 3 to get the louder sound. and I did the 5" Bosal tips.

Please, when someone is one on TV is doing a disguised, info-commercial. They lie a lot about GREAT RWHP gains. Bull**** sells a lot of products. I can get you any RWHP you want on any given day.
Having said the above, I just switched from Super 40 to Super 44, real duals on my SSR. Really, so far I see or hear little change. Super 44's are about half the size of the Super 40's. I will try to post photos after the weekend (Doing the Super Truck Nationals for the first time, since it is in St. Louis, Missouri, this weekend). As I also improved my open electric Cut-Outs. All engines NEED different amounts of back pressure to perform at there top RWHP or RWTQ. Totally no back pressure is reserved for Top Fuel Cars. I will say, that a very reliable source with 3 dyno's worth near a Million Dollars, says that changing to a K&N Filter nets 0 RWHP in most cases.

My Old System

My Old System was Coupler-X Pipe-Cut Outs-Real Dual Flowmaster Super 40's.
New System is Couplers-Cut Outs-X Pipe-Real Dual Flowmaster Super 44's.
This, the old system, added about 19 RWHP.
The New System has added 2 to 3 MPG Open Cut-Outs, compared to Closed Cut-Outs.
Takes about a Grand to do the whole system.

Nice pics

Nice setup Royalshowing.

I was thinking of using a similar setup, sans cutouts. Any ground clearance issues by turning the 44's to vertical?

As last photo shows, they are about even with the cross brace, no problems.

Smile Can Ya Hear Me Now?

I just got my Flowmaster 40 installed this morning. I LOVE the sound!
Inside the cab at normal driving, it is no louder than the original was, however, when I step on it I can hear it just fine!

This sound goes better with the way it looks...
like it means business!

Installing new 44

Hi Everyone

Going to install a new 44 on the 06 in the morning. This is on an automatic, we will hear how it sounds. Cant wait to hear the difference from the stock muffler.

Just installed a 44 today. Just removed the factory muffler and installed the 44 the sound is awsome. Has a nice deep tone and no drown at running speeds, great sound when you have it to the rug.

Thumbs up Now size 44 too

Had the 5" tips done a couple of weeks ago. That did help with her growl a bit, but after adding the Super 44 today, she breathes much easier and her bark is much deeper! Down girl!! The muffler guy said she now sounds as good as she looks.....

A huge difference in sound and still enough back pressure to get that great burble on the decelerate. Like others have noted though, no more "braking" help like from the stock exhaust/tips on deceleration now. But man, what a great sound.

Warning: once you install the 44, you will no longer be able to "sneak" in or out of anywhere in your ride anymore.

I had dual 40's and just install dual 44"s BOTH Drone at 60 to about 70, I have a Six speed. I still think these do not sound like glass pack, for me they all lack the deep tone of old walker glass packs. They are lighter and shorter than 40's.
Super 44's

40's

AND more real RWHP than headers is a joke. Someone is sucking on a exhaust pipe.
