Had 456 gears installed today

Iam so glad I didn't go with 410's. The 456's make a big diff, left rubber patch hitting second gear and didn't see the cop on the corner but he saw me lol. Thank god i knew him from my old shop no ticket. changed gear setting to 456 with my superchips tuner, now just need to mess with shift points alittle. Now thinking of a cam also.. The 456 don't have neck braking action and thats why Iam glad with the choice of 456's. Have to let them heat up and cool for a few miles 40-50 my tech said, then I'l see how well they do? Oh yeah not one peep out of the rear end either..

That's great, Is your speedometer accurate? I have been having some trouble with it. If you want a cam look at some of my old posts. I have a rather large cam that works really well and is very drivable. Good luck.

We`ll probably have to put that silver thingy to the test at Springfield. I`ve run outta time. Leaving for Ga on Thurs morning and on to Maggie next Thursday. Won`t get my gears installed until I get back.

Speedometer Seems To Be Ok

But I have to turn off traction control or after second gear truck wont go. When I picked gear size then asked height of tires and i skiped that part because they didn't change. After 50 miles I'l i go and see just how much these gears have woken up this buggy, but already know next will be a cam. AND tomorrow going to finish my exhaust also going with either two flowmasters or magnaflows with 2 90' deg bends into the side pipe's and the sound should be Kool. Atleast that I can do my self and save some bucks.

just my .02 worth instead of mods to the exhaust and cam,,,,,,,,with the 456 gears consider the torque converter......I went to a torque converter that put the jump back into the takeoff...and for alot less money than a custom exhaust or mod to the engine itself....

the side pipes are already on my ssr, The cam will give me a little more kick in the motor. As far as the converter gos I am not saying no, but need to finish other two and see where Iam at. I havn't jumped on yet to see full gain from the gears and other mods yet to judge it. But just what are we talking as far as bucks with a converter install?? I still have my harley in the shop and my money tree is looking a little bare right now .....
