How much HP will I get?

I have a 03 SSR. I'm having a cat back duel exhaust system (flowmaster) & a K&N cold air filter system put in. How much HP should I gain??

Well your not

going to gain anything that will rock your socks off, it will feel better thou and the sound will be awsome, you may gain a couple of pony power, but it will react better. If your looking for a gain one thing your could do and really feel it, would be gears. You have 373 in there now if its still stock, myself I installed 456's and its huge diff/ and made the 5000lbs feel like 3500. Or you could go with 410's also use the search tool on top there posting all about it . Hope this has helped you out and have a great day........................Pasta Mike

Maybe 15rwhp but I think that is pushing it. These trucks are all about looks so don't expect much unless your willing to spend thousands of dollars on it.

The Magnaflow website advertises about 20HP or so looking at the dyno chart for an 03 SSR, so I would think the Flows would be similar. I don't think the the cold air intake adds too much as our trucks already have a cold air intake, but opening up the airway a little more and using the foam filter might bring in an extra 5?

Just ballpark guesses but no matter what you decide it will add to the fun factor though, so just have fun with it!

Has anyone ever cut the stock plastic frame around the air filter to make it a little bigger? More airflow?

WOW! That is what I call clever! You must be quite skilled with a dremel tool or whatever tool/devise was used to make that bowtie cutout.

Here's a photo of what mine looks like after being modified.
