My SSR: 2003 "Ilsa" True Duals w/Jones Glasspacks, Eibach Springs, Addco Sway Bars, 4.56 Gears
HP Tune
Ilsa is getting an HP tune tomorrow.
Which parameters should I have changed for more horsepower, quicker launch, and overall better performance while still keeping her acceptable for normal driving?
She had a flashpaq tune with her new Maggie, but that tune is extremely basic.

Well you or they will have a better ideal of that when they see the scan but I would say your fuel trims, VE table, Timming and TR

Achias, I did a HP tune sometime ago and have been happy with it from day one. We adjusted the shift points, rev limiter, we adjusted the max speed limiter to the MAX, fuel air ratio was a little tricky, but I still need to work on the fuel/air thing. Don't forget to check the speedometer settings.
The one thing we where not able to adjust, was the response time from throttle down to response time. I hear that can be adjusted now and I would do this change in heartbeat.
I did not change the thermostat, but the tuner wanted to install a 165 stat and I decided to stay with the OEM stat.
My tuner held back on the final numbers he thought he could pull out of the tune and advised me to run it for a while and then we would retune. Well that never happened due to our schedule and the economy hit that forced him to go out of business.
Can I ask you who is doing your install? I will send you a PM with another question.
Good Luck with the tune and don't hold back on what it can do for you.

I didn't install it myself; and after reading through the instructions, I'm glad I didn't. A real gearhead could probably handle it - the instructions would make sense to them.
I jumped on it today to check out the tranny settings and my heart ended up pumping about as hard as the pistons! I love it.

Ha! I haven't done any burnouts yet. I'm actually still a little chicken to take her to the strip yet, maybe next summer. I just started autocrossing her this year (and that's a gas!).
By the way, the mech made it clear to me that following a supercharger install, the next mod needed will probably be replacing a shot transmission.

I'm not an expert, but I had heard a lot about them and ordered one to put on Ilsa at the same time as her 4.56 gear install. Unfortunately, the routing of the true dual exhaust pipes that I had done got in the way of the servo, so I had to send it back.
Evidently, it makes the 2 - 3 shift quicker and is better for the transmission overall. Greg Ducato seems to be the transmission expert, so keep an eye out for his posts.
I believe that the servo was discussed extensively on the thread,"the best money I've spent so far."
Fella's I can certainly vouch for Greg Ducato. I have an 04 with a modified LS-6 in it. Also shooting 120 load of nitrous. Making about 500 or more to the rear wheels. Your stock tranny won't keep holding too long. Greg did a complete build on mine for me and I couldn't be happier. Easily smokes the tires in first and chirps extremely hard in second (without the nitrous). He knows what he's doing with our trucks...great money spent for me. He'll probably chime in on this thread sooner or later.
