Hypertec programmers

Good Morning SSR's

Looking for information on using a Hypertec programmer or one similar. Has anyone used one on a 2006 ssr with the 6.0 letre? Is the purchase of the unit worth the investment?

I have used one of their programmers on my 2001 2500HD with the 6.0 liter gas engine. I like it and definitely feel a performance boost. When I inquired to Hypertech last year about a programmer for my 2006 SSR 6-spd, they said they do not support this vehicle. I just checked their website, and they do show a listing for the SSR with the new Max Energy III. I would give them a call to double check.

Bottom Line: The product delivered as advertised and I recommend them.

I bought a Diablo Predator unit for my SSR. Apparently I have one of the few SSR's that won't allow the Predator to read. There has been an update that is internet down-loadable, but I haven't had time to do that and see if it works. Let us know what you find out from Hyper-Tech.

I have written extensively on this subject on thsi forum. Search using "microtuners" as the search key, and then again using "tuning software" to see the differences.
