here's another "Howdy" from the Dallas area. There are are few of you in the Lubbock area. We'd love to have you join us in Sept on the Estes Park run or in Oct in Fredericksburg. Hubby and I have some friends that live in Lubbock and occasionally make it out there to see them. I'll let you know the next time I head that direction.

What??? Two days and you haven't bought anything????

Don't worry - Mike in AZ will be happy to sell you an exhaust system, and a rad support, and a rad, and a better auxiliary fan, and a better primary fan.

Joe (2005ssr6speed) will he happy to change your gear ratio and install a supercharger.

Then there's EBay with lots of neat goodies.

Then you'll need a new set of sway bars, lowering springs, replace the stock hood bar with a painted one, maybe a rear spoiler, possibly a front air dam.

Then there's custom paint.

And Jim Gnitecky will supply you with a very well documented book on the SSR - available by email.

There is also a hard cover book called "SSR An American Original" - available on Amazon and other sources - great read about the history of the truck.

Don't worry - we can help you part with your funds.

By the way, welcome from your northern neighbor.

Check for the next SSR get together within travel range. You'll come as a curious new owner, and leave with a bunch of new friends.

Oh dear now I have to get my VW painted to match my SSR. Can't have the SSR towing something that doesn't match. The SSR is in good shape to me, evidently I have a lot to learn. Now the VW being a 1968 I still have some fixin to do on her.

Cab storage

There is hardly any storage in the cab. Am I missing something. I have the glove box which is next to nothing, the console which is not much better. Are there some nifty things out there to make some more storage for CD's, etc. I read there is a thingy that goes in the spot between the passenger seat and console. Are there anymore options?

Ya, you now have this huge trunk/truck bed thing in the back!! You can fit most anything in it.

Hee hee...

Don't forget the pockets in the doors. That just about does it for storage.

I already have a good idea there is a lot of good folks on this site. Went to the Hooters car show Sunday, showed my "68 VW, "01 Vette, and just for fun entered the SSR. Took best of show in trucks 80 and above for the SSR, 1st place for the VW and Vette

Have an 04 red also, when you race your husbands vette, get him to tow 2000 lbs also. The SSR is a hot rod TRUCK, that looks cooler than ANY car

Thumbs up "dont need no stinkin'storage!'

fill the back end with all the odds and ends u think u will need for a road trip and only bring the real essential things "up front".
I fill the back and only keep my gas credit card up front to keep Black Beauty filled and purring along!
