Leading Edge Performance Cam question...

I was wondering if anyone that has the blower cam from LEP has lowered the idle speed at all to see what it would sound like.

Your tuner will have to set it where he feels comfortable with the tune. I can actually tune mine a little lower but it runs best with mine at 725 RPM's.

Trust what Joe is telling you - he tweaked my tune on Saturday, and it idles 100% better now.

Define "better"....... More lope? Less lope? More responsive?

It "idles" better. After I had AZ TPI swap out the 4.56's for the 4.10's three weeks ago, I experienced a rough idle. Joe spent the better part of an hour and a half Saturday re-tuning Hellvis with all the modifications that have been done.

Right now, it idles about 850,(per the factory tach, I haven't checked it with the nav unit) and at a cold start doesn't surge.

Joe advised me to swap the OEM fuel pump out with the aftermarket Lingenfelter unit, which will raise the fuel pressure from about 39 GPM to 75-80. Ordered it today.....

Most of the cams/tunes are set around 725-825rpm. All depends on the customer and needs of the vehicle.
