Why don't you and Doophus have a shake-out trip up to Mesa on Saturday, with Jim and Glenda and strut you stuff through downtown after dinner at "Blue Adobe Grille"

Thanks Tom,
I'm going to tackle it myself as I've heard some others on here say that it's only about a 1 hour job or so.....like you said a little fear of the unknown but it's exhaust not camshaft surgery, so I should be O.K.
I'm stoked! I'm dropping off the Pugpower at the shop tonight for a thursday or friday install of my 4.10's and then hoping my Magnaflow arrives via UPS sometime late this week/early next for a posiblle Memorial Day weekend install....I can barely contain myself.
I wasn't even planning on getting the exhaust yet until I was reading 32revolver's posts about the great price and the excitement got me searching....searching got me wondering and when wife said...summer's coming why wait? CLICK CLICK CLICK and now it's coming...I love this forum...my wallet however has mixed emotions about this forum

Hey Pug....you only get one trip down Main Street!!!
My SSR: '05 Slingshot 6 spd 4.10 Rear Magnaflow Performance Exhaust K & N Air PCM Performance Tune
AWESOME!
I have been holding out trying to wait on Old Skool Exhaust from Mike in AZ, but I can't wait anymore....Of course I'm sure I'll see the post in the next 2 weeks that he is taking orders for them....
Anyhow, I have listened to sound files and have read many (and I mean MANY) old posts and discussions wrestling with the Flowmaster and Magnaflow systems. I decided to go with the Magnaflow as a little "interior resonance" is great cruising around town, but not so great for us on a big road trip. There was a particularly good sound clip on YouTube with an Aquablur SSR where the sound quality was really good. My wife was sitting on the other side of the table and heard it and said "that sounds GOOD" just as I was thinking the same thing.
There has also been a recent price drop which was nice, the unfortunate side of that is that if you don't already have one, I am hearing that they are on backorder until 2 weeks after the end of time
Main street is about to sound a lot better!!

Good for you. We can all thank DOOPHUS for finding the great price.
I was rfeady to do something and the MagnaFlow should be great. I'm also going to make a small exhaust adjustment. I'll let you know how it works out!! Nothinh like a good sounding Hot Rod
For the safety and well being of Po Little Doophus, I didn't attempt the installation myself but according to the Service Manager at the Chevy Dealer . . . the entire kit was "first class" and went on without a glitch. Today I need to run over there and bring home the OEM stuff for whatever reason I'm not quite sure but . . .

I've been told that there is a fine line between Bravery and Stupidity.
I have also been told that there is a fine line between Dedication and Stupidity.
I have crossed this line many times......... Once received I will let you all know how the install goes.
Glad to hear the "first class"...wouldn't want to hang any junk on the
That reminds me, I need to get that lighted "Pugpower" windsuppressr...
I'm gonna soon be getting "preferred customer status" from Capital One or at least a thank you letter or something

Do you have a Digital Camera with Video capabilities? If you do then select the Video mode and just push the shutter button once to start and once to stop. Then send it to me in an E-Mail and I will post it for you. Don't record over one minute or the file will be to large to send to me.

Well you won't believe this so I'll just say it....my bravery just got a little easier. I ordered my Magnaflow 15843 performance exhaust on Tuesday (yesterday 5/18/10) from wundercarparts.com. (I tried performance peddler.com first but they were sold out and on back order from Magnaflow). The guy at wundercarparts told me he had one in a warehouse in Exceter, PA not far from my house (2 - 2 1/2 hrs). I bought it...it showed up at my house TODAY!! (I never expected it that quick, even being that close)
That being said, I called the garage doing my gears and asked if they would install it while they have it, (I dropped it off tonight), they said they would.
SO...sorry I guess I'm not so brave after all....but couldn't resist just having it done while it was there!!

THANKS FOR THE OFFER MOODYBLUE
I would have shot some video with my phone and emailed it to you.
I had to take it out of the box to get it in the back of the SSR. Upon looking at the pieces, I can tell you the install should be NO PROBLEM, even for someone in the novice mechanic category (me).
The 5" tips will have me dreaming tonight!!
