It is pretty quick for stock but I don't think it will beat my 2005 SSR.

Do you have the LLY or LBZ motor?

I think the 8th digit of the vin will be a D for the Big HP LBZ

The eigth letter in my vin is a "D". 6.6 Liter (402 cu in)
I checked the book and it is rated at 360 Net SAE HP @ 3200 RPM 650 Net SAE Torque @ 1600 RPM. This is the optional diesel engine for the automatic transmission equiped pickups.

The "LLY" engine is also a 6.6 Liter (402 cu in) but is only rated at 300 HP @ 3000 RPM with 520 Net SAE Torque @ 1600 RPM. It is in the Manual transmission equiped pickups.

I deleted this because it sounded like I was putting a friends Ram down and I did not mean it that way, It runs good for what it is, So I will add the old Turbo Diesel from days gone by, A super pro diesel with I think three of the bigest turbos I have ever seen

The U7186 has 4 tunes available from 40-120 rwhp!
It will wake that truck up big time, and probably give a stock SSR a run for its money...

Thanks

Hi
I currently own your yellow SSR on the Fanatic website, I was curious what type of engine upgrades you have done. Did you install a cam? It has a power tuner now and was wondering if you installed it and what HP settings.
Thanks

Spaz,

I would PM him as he is unlikely to see your post.
He does not log on frequently.

If the #'s were accurate, no doubt in my mind that the SSR would smoke him. It all comes down to power to weight ratio. A conservative guess puts the SSR at 420 RWHP, 400hp stock minus 80hp for drive train losses and add 100hp for the magnacharger.

Dodge 3500 8000+lbs 475 RWHP = 16.8 lbs per HP
SSR 4700+lbs 420 RWHP = 11.2 lbs per HP

No doubt the SSR wins unless you miss a shift!
