New Fans And Dual Core Radiator
Marv has asked me to post his pictures of the COOLER SSR since we put in the new dual fans from Colgan and the new dual radiator, custom made for us, from Be COOL in Essixville, Michigan. We put them to the test this weekend in Canada when the temperatures were in the high 80,s to the low 90,s. The highest that the temp got in the SSR was 200-202, and that was even standing in line for 45 minutes to get back into Michigan. So to say that Marv is happy is an understatment!!!!

The steak looks great, but there is no price on the menu! If I have to ask, I guess I can't afford it, huh?

Cool Ssr
Yes, you can ask, but I think I have come to the conclusion that all things doing with the SSR are relative. And we each need to do our thing when if comes to ourtrucks. Anyway the Colgan fan set-up was : $525.00 picked up at their office in Austin, Texas. And the radiator was custom made for the SSR, because they had nothing made that would work for our truck. Marv worked with them for what he wanted and they did a drawing of how he would like it to work. So we picked it up from them and the cost was: $900.00, for one made for a six speed.

This is my third summer on my custom BeCool Rad. and still working perfect. I have Mike's replacement fan on mine and it's bulletproof. PCM for less tune brings the fan on sooner and overall I'm real pleased with the R's cooling now. Only thing strange on my ride is I had a heater core fail. I've never seen anyone complain of that yet. I've got a new one, but haven't been brave or stupid enough yet to tackle the install.

Glad to hear that topspin!! We are running Mike's pusher fan with this setup also and we did the Superchip tuner to get the fans to turn on sooner.
Thanks for your input!!!

Topsin: If you have a heater core leak, get that fixed AT ONCE. You won't believe the corrosion damage that a heater core leak can generate if left unrepaired for any length of time.
On both my '55 1st Edition Chevy pickup and my '52 Packard, the previous owners did not address these when they occurred, and did not disclose the leakage, and I have rust damage to both vehicles that now needs to be addressed.
