Exclamation New huge cam & headers.

I just dropped the rod off at Dez Racing in Seekonk Ma. to get the Comp 232/232 .595 lift at 112 lsa cam along with patriot dual valve springs, pushrods and some other top end stuff. Also getting Kooks headers and having some more honing/polishing done on the t/b. I can't wait to get the Rod back. I will post a video of how she sounds and dyno numbers when I get her back. the upgrades will push it over 400 rwhp but we will see what the exact numbers are. Just that choppy, camed hot rod sound will make it all worth it.

This is what it sounded like before cam. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/a...e701258bf8.htm

This is after cam install "first start untuned" http://videos.streetfire.net/video/0...f000f8bbad.htm

I can't wait to hear your cam, you must have an old soul brother. The sound of a nice choppy cam can just about make me High. I can't wait to see and hear your ride in person on one of the cruises this summer.

Congrats on the mods. I had considered doing heads/cam work vs the Magnuson but went with the blower. Sure wish Mass. and NC were closer. Would be great putting the two side by side on the track.

Olaferickson your sound already sounds great. Can't wait to hear what your SSR sounds like once the performance work is completed.

That is just Way Cool Bro. Shades of 1963! I have died and gone to heaven There is just nothing that sounds quite as snotty as a small block bowtie with a big honkin lumpy cam. You done real good. Can't wait to hear it in person, and even better maybe snag a ride. Very nice !!!!

Here are some header pictures. Notice the power steering line touching the second tube from the front of the engine. It is very important to move and insulate that.

This is the link to the first start after install with a couple revs.

And here is my muffler.

Actually it is just straight pipe from headers to tailpipe except for the cats.

Nice, tell me now that the line is hitting I can't believe I missed it.O-well,atleast there will be a new one on there tomorrow.

As for the 2nd vid. That is ignitial startup and the smoke is the new headers burning off,not rich fuel smake

I just got to drive the truck. Slowhawk had me come down to his house and take it for a spin. WOW! He still needs it until tomorrow when he can dyno it but it is totally amazing. With the new top end stuff and cam it now has a 6800 rpm red line and it sure commands attention. Just about everyone I passed stopped to look. I am so glad I met Don. he is an amazing mechanic and good guy. I should be in business tomorrow afternoon.
