The 122HH will be an interim Blower for testing while waiting for the TVS.

I will be working on the 8" 8 Rib setup that will work on the SSR and TBSS.

Prices will be determined as we start getting more stuff in.

You sticking with the lowered compresion due to going from 64 to 75 cc chambers? Probably a good thing with the blower.

We are going to be pushing about 14 psi of boost. The difference in chamber size will drop the compression to just below 10 to 1.

Red Sleds 1st post

O.K. 1st post

I bought the Red Sled as an after thought back in June. That same weekend I was at TMS in TX driving a track event in the vette. On Sunday, my son in law brought the SSR up and off we go around the track surrounded by a pack of miatas. We held our own, pretty well in the straights but gave it back in the twisties. It was time for some performance.

Got the sled back today and we're ready for round 2.

Following are the mods and questions for this esteemed forum:

Engine upgrades include:
LS1 cam
L92 heads
L92 intake
Kooks 1 7/8 " headers & x pipe
Dynomax muffler
K&N cold air intake
Colvin Auto dual fan
altered thermostat

Tranny: Century Auto stage 2 4160E w/2800 stall trashed the factory tranny on 1st dyno run

Supension: Eibach lowered 1" front 1 1/2" rear

Appearance: Front window tint
3M clear bra
4 3/4 dual ss exhaust tips

Questions/comments;
Handles great doesn't feel like sway bars will help, confirm or deny.
There is a bit too much rebound on bumpy roads, any ideas on shocks
Track days and rode races are coming, what's the best brake combo
Currently running Nitto 555 II on vette, will they work on the SSR?

Currently dyno at 436 RWHP, sled runs well, initial overheat problem was fixed with fan.

Many thanks to the Blues Brother for fan info, Colvin Auto for fan, and Conley Performance, Humble TX, Jeff McBride, for their diligent efforts, wrenching and tuning.

Time to play!!!

Sway bars will help. If you don't believe it, I'll toss you around the autocross course....

Shocks bumps. I agree, front are too darned soft, especially in compression. Only thing out there I know of is the coilovers for the front.

Red Sled - Great 1st post and welcome to the board!!

I would start with the Addco or Hotchkis sway bars and DJM Upper Control Arms for the suspension. You may even want to look at a new Belltech Coil-Over kit that just came out for the front.

http://belltechcorp.com/download/ap/...guide_2007.pdf

For tires there should be some better 20" tires coming out soon, I hope. I will be using the BFG KDW's till something stickier comes out. I would love to find a 20" drag Radial to run all the time.

Hotchkis and coil overs

Thanks for the replys.

Looks like Hotchkis bars and Bell Tech coilovers are next.

Anybody doing anything to slow these beast down? Although factory brakes aren't bad, I'm considering slotted rotors, ss lines and stop tech pads.

Make sure to use the DJM Upper Control Arms to correct the upper ball joint angles. There is a group buy going on them at the link below.

Looks like some nice mods, Man wish I had one of the super chargers, I heard they were coming out with some 20'' drag radials in late summer, This is late summer here and haven't heard anything, I tell you Joe I don't care for the BFG KDW's at all this year, They show no ware but must harden up fast, They don't bire as good as the stock tires and that is pretty bad, Them 18'' BFG drag radials sure look good, You have a good one

I am staying with the stock wheels on the SS for the street. We really need a better offering from the tire companies for the 20" wheels that are coming on everything.

I am looking at the Dunlop SP Sport 9000 tires.

I just wish they would make a ZR rated tire with a tread wear in the 180-200 range that fit the 20's for everyday use.

Upgrades Ready to Install

I am getting ready to install some major upgrades to my SSR starting with a bulletproof trans from Greg Ducato at Phoenix Transmissions it is supposed to arrive either tomorrow or Thursday, have a friend I bowl with that owns a transmission shop, he is going to install it for me. I want to make a few passes at the drags with the new trans and the Torque Management turned off before installing the engine parts. I have all the engine parts ready to go but going to wait til I get back from Maui, taking the wife there for our 15th anniversary a week from Friday. Engine is getting AFR Mongoose 205 Heads, Crane Cam- 228@.050 duration .600 lift 113 degree LSA, Kooks 1-7/8 inch Headers and 3 inch dual cats, Harland- Sharp 1.7 roller rockers, plus the big radiator, trans cooler, aux fan, radiator bracket and air deflector from Mike in AZ Should be rattling my neighbors windows by mid- October and hopefully run some mid-12 second 1/4 mile times.
