It is a long story, I had to go to the VA Wed. and Thur. we had to have the cars there for tech, I was going to drive the SSR in true street and worlds fastest truck and A Friend Jesse was going to drive the Grand National in open class, We turned the boost down and fuel pressure to slow the GN down for the 10.90 class, Well now thing start to go wrong, On the way out of the VA they said get a flu shot before you leave, I got it and man it hurt and by the time I got home my whole arm was hurting, I don't know what it is but by the next day I could hardly use my right arm but got both teched in and then Thur. I was in so much pain I just told Jesse no way could I drive so Jesse said he would drive the SSR and a friend that built the motor was going to drive the GN, I said when I get better I will come down and take over but that never come, It was super hot and the SSR wasn't running right, The best it would run was 11.50 and Jesse forgot this laptop so he run True street L 11.50, He said when it get a little cooler it will pick up so I have to watch it but it didn't and he lost in the first round he run a 11.54 but he won with the GN but the the it went from 10.90 127 to 10.70 at 130 so he changed it to 10.60 to make sure and on his next run he cut a great light and was way ahead so he let off and coasted through but it was 10.58 at 132 and broke out, He run the worlds fastest truck, You have to go on a cruse and then make three back to back run and they add the three runs together and the fastest one get a plack that says worlds fastest truck a nice LSx worlds fastest truck jacket and money and in their magazine, Well they was only one truck faster than the SSR my 3 runs was 11.70 something, A El Camino run a 10.90 but he broke and couldn't run so Jesse was happy at least we won worlds fastest truck but they gave it to the El Camino? I am in to much pain to type any more but that about covers it

We did find the problem with the SSR, Why it run 11.30's last week on a track that isn't near as fast as Indy, The o2's were bad and the MAf meter was all over the place, It isn't bad for a daily driver

There is video out with a (don't care what anyone says - is way fast) that shows an 11 flat.

This is very cool and well done with the camera but it is the second one where someone has really put the emphasis on the music, rather than the SSR.
I'm sorry if I offend, but I love to watch this except feel I want to mute it, but then I would miss the faint whine of the supercharger I hear in the background that is drowned out by a bunch of music I cdon't care to listen to. My honest opinion is for the friend to calf the music. I want to hear the engine whine, the wheels burn -forget the other crap. Maybe just because it is in no way my choice of music style. At least have the music as the backdrop, not the main course.

Sorry - my bad. I see this is an older thread and it is the same video, not a second one, At least I haven't changed my opinion, just didn't voice it the first time. Really well done with the camera.

Lets see where do I start, I am sorry you don't like two videos on here and they both just happen to be mine, I do, I didn't put the music to the video, I didn't drive the SSR that day, I didn't even post the video, The friend that went to the trouble of putting the music to the video and posting it likes it very much, The 11.57 was with bad 02's running pump gas and the MAf meter was all over the place, One last thing red is not faster, Have a nice day

Like everything that can get taken out of context....
I realized after posting it was the same video I saw twice and came to the same conclusion both times. I loved watching it but would have preferred if I could listen to your SSR rather than the soundtrack. It was just a personal opinion and possibly I shouldn't have expressed it. I am sorry you took it personally but I thought my opinion might be taken as constructive. I guess not.
I enjoyed watching, just not so much listening. Now that you have cleared it up I'm sure yellow is faster. You have a nice day too.

Looks like your truck made it in 2 pictures of the April 2012 issue of Chevy High Performance magazine. Page 51 sitting in line and page 52 on the way to a 11.710 run with Jesse driving. Congrats.

Do you subscribe or buy off the news stand. I know magazines are different that way, I subscribe and the April issue has a red 69 Camaro on the front.
