I bet there are tons of threads all related to overheating. In using the search tool on the top, these are just some of the other thread related to overheating. Hopefully one of those threads will answer your question.

depends on alot of things. There is a lot written here that will answer your questions with circumstances if you use the Search function and search on overheating. Have fun or ask some more specific questions and you will find people that will answer them. You might also search on FAN.

Of course the simple answer is YES but it is fixable.

If your definition of "heats up" is above 210 and below 230, it is "normal" for that to happen if the A/C is off. If, on the other hand, your truck is exceeding 235 when idling with the A/C off, you have a problem. If you exceed 210 idling with the A/C on, you have a problem.
