PERFORMANCE CHIP CHEVY SSR, 75+ horsepower 20dollar???????????????

On ebay they sell chip tuning for less then 20 dollar.
They say 75+ horsepower, 7 to 10 more miles per gallon when driving in stop and go city traffic.
Has anyone installed this chip? and do they work?
If it is true, way not installed at the factory!!!!!!!

Uh, SSRs don't use a "chip". GMs haven't since OBD-1 was replaced with OBD-2, some years ago.

The Diablo sportchip is it actually a chip you install or are you refering to a handhelp programer?

Geez,

For the LAST TIME people, NO vehicles made after 1995 use a removable chip in the computer. The only way to reprogram the computer in these vehicles is with a hand-held programmer of some sort. I just can't understand why this myth is so persistent.

The "chip" that all these crooks on ebay are selling is actually about a $3.25 resistor that is supposed to fool your PCM into changing the air/fuel mix.

Do a search on it through google sometime. Not only do they not work, they can even harm your engine.

As mentioned previously on this thread, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

hi i can do a full tuning of your drivetrain for 95 or 98 octane and i can even customize it for propane you wil gain about 30-HP and have beter milage en mutch better trottle response and gear schifts ,also i put a lot more safety features in like cooling fans come on much faster ;AC cut of at wot ;warning for oil temp of the transmision at 115c not on 129c(132c=transmision overheating and fail);etc
i first program the car my way ,then you are free to tel me if you would like to change anything the way you want it(within a safe barier)so it is custom made for you and the way you drive and you prefer
this al for 350euro it takes about 2 hours

ps: the chips on e-bay is only a resistor for the intake temp so you are cheating your computer an this is defenitly not the way to do it it is also verry bad for the catalitic convertor
