Performance Tune: Anyone Interested from North Carolina
I am looking for SSR owners that would be interested in getting JFormato to come up and give us one of his famous Tunes. In order for him to come up from Florida, we would need at least 6 people to sign up and someone that has a garage where he could do his work.

Reason: Decided to go a different way
Hope you find a good tuner close, I know a good one but Indiana is a long drive, On the TB I don't think it needs anything done to it, I run 12.70 with a super charger and a couple other things and a stock TB on my 5.3, I run 11.50 at 119 still with the stock TB so you have a long ways to go before you need to mess with that, Good luck

When or what is an indicator that a performance tune needed. Probably an elementary question but I am new to this and trying to learn.

Hi Meg, Welcome to the forum. A performance tune is something that alot of us like to have done to our engines. It wakes your engine up by giving it more get up and go and a little better gas milage. It's not anything that you have to have done. But, for us hotrodders we love it. Mike

I'm in Norfolk and I would do it.

I would be interested as it would be nice to get a little more power out of my 5.3L, I am located in Richmond, VA. How much would something like this cost?

A good tuner can; bump up the stock speed limiter from 125 mph, bump up the rpm limiter from 6300 rpm, change the speedo if you've changed gears, minimize throttle delay, minimize torque management, change the turn on/off points of the fan, and change the fuel/timing maps for general better performance/mileage.

Meg, I just found out that it would take at least 12 of us before Jeremy would come up from Florida to do this. I don't see enough interest at this time. You can PM Jeremy at JFormato and see what he can do for you. There is a way to do this by shipping your part to him. Mike

From what I understand it's alot better. But I just found out that it would take at least 12 of us before Jeremy would come up from Florida and do this for us. At this time I don't see enough interest in it. But, if you PM Jeremy at JFormato he will give you instructions on how to mail your part to him and he will put the tune on for you and mail it back to you. Mike.
