Removing MAF screen?

Is there any secrets to removing the screen? I'm going to get my 05 magnacharged ssr custom tuned this week, I guess I'll remove the screen first, is there any special way of removing it? any disadvantages of removing it?

Just be careful not to damage the resistor wires, else you'll be buying a new one.

There is no major issues too run it without it, Z06's come with it off nowadays. Is there a real benefit to removing it? Well, that's up for discussion and can be read on many other boards, you will get a little more air flow though. As hdflstf mentioned, be careful around the resistor.
