Saturday night 1/4 mile Times

Here are my times

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Must say it was a lot of fun,I think I did okay, and the SSR preformed well, I was close to what I expected, I got six runs in and got better everytime. I think that was due to the night getting cooler as it went along. My first run was around 7pm and last run around 10pm. There where a ton of cars and I think the SSR did us all proud, only lost once the first one of course by a 1/2 car length was gaining from about 3 car lengths behind off the line. The car that beat me was a done up Eagle Talon, I then beat 2 mustangs, a Grand National we both redlighted I saw him go and went too, Then beat a GTO Nissan a european model with the stearing wheel on the wrong side, and a ford probe turbo GT and the last one of the night was against an old super bee with a 440 thought that it would likely beat me but he could not hook up and I beat him by 20 car lenghts. Here are my times

Run 1- Reaction- .7701
- 60ft - 2.24
1/8 ET - 9.1469
1/8 MPH- 80.63
1/4 - ET -14.0569
1/4 MPH- 101.28

Run 2- Reaction- .6489
- 60ft - 2.2710
1/8 ET- 9.1721
1/8 MPH - 80.37
1/4 ET- 14.0811
1/4 MPH- 101.29

Run 3-Reaction- .6778
-60ft - 2.2541
1/8 ET- 9.1143
1/8 MPH- 80.92
1/4 ET - 14.0072
1/4 MPH- 101.59

Run 4- Reaction-.4921 Red Light- I let off the gas for a split second when i saw the red light
- 60ft- 2.3957
-1/8- ET - 9.26
- 1/8 MPH-81.32
- 1/4 ET -14.1577
1/4 MPH -101.37

Run 5-Reaction .8710
-60 ft- 2.2678
1/8 ET- 9.1098
1/8 MPH -81.54
1/4 ET- 13.9928
1/4MPH -101.84

Run 6 Reaction 1.2889
60ft- 2.2441
1/8 ET 9.0659
1/8 MPH 81.39
1/4 ET 13.9499
1/4 MPH 101.65

Thats what the slips read anyway, fairly consistant. I power braked a bit not to hard, just let the automatic shift itself, I think the last run I may have power braked a little more , I was real slow out of the gate but had a good time.

I like that last run.. Slowest reaction time but the best ET. Looks like there are some faster times out there to be had still.

Cool! You did better than I did my first time... I was completley stock (my excuse!). I hope you had as much fun as I did. I can't wait to go again!

1/4 mile times

The local drag strip in my area starts having Friday Night Grudge Racing starting on May 25, I am looking forward to it because I hear there are a lot less cars and you can get more runs, I only got two runs last time with the BF Goodrich ET Drag Radial Tires, didn't get a chance to experiment with different launch techniques to maximize my times, runs consistently in high 13s but should dip to mid 13s if I get it to hook up off the line.
