Side pipes with mufflers?

Anyone (2005SSR6speed, Mike in Az, Doug Allen, etc!) know a source for side pipes with some form of muffling built in?

Randy and I did some "extensive renovation" on "Red" today, had a FABULOUS day in terms of results, and I realized I have a perfect application for some form of side pipes with muffling, after taking the running boards off (details coming tomorrow or Monday . . .).

Each side pipe would be fed from one bank of an LS series engine, and some form of croosover / merge just before the side pipes.

It looks like the pipe diameter would need to be at least 2.5 inches, and preferably 3 inches.

This would create an aesthetic that until today we did not realize was a possibility, and would also eliminate the problem of getting 2.5 or 3 inch pipes over a rear axle that will be closer to the frame rails after the mono leaf springs are installed.

Those reading this posting who have not read my SLURP series: Red is a 1955 Chevy pickup, NOT an SSR, so don't say "I am interested too"!

Pasta Mike: where did you get your DynaMax ones, and what are they attached to - stock manifolds or headers?

Thank-you, guys!

Mike Powell: Thanks especially for the hour you spent on the phone with me, educating me, based upon your experiences with them. I appreciate it!
